yes you got me there :good:

as my husband said let the dogs do the talking bring your best dog and we will go and have a dig and then we will see if these r show shit

i,ll take that as an invite lol its one way of getting em.if you have the land i,ll hold you to that this coming season.

would you like my phone number

:clapper: i think your in there mucker, :D:D Roybo

  2. cheers lads :good: she did actually pull her through the mesh ripped it open at the bottom,it was only the fact

that the mastiff has a bench that the little one could get under and the fact that the

throwing water over the mastiff that saved her :icon_eek:

and yes it was the little dog starting it ,its the only dog the mastiff goes for .

proper wind up merchant :realmad: thanks for the concern :good: Roy

ps vet just phoned back 3 broke ribs not punctured lung, but chest cavity collapsed

  3. got back from work today, after a phone call from my neighbour, saying 2 of the dogs had been

    fighting.

when i got in the yard all looked well until I saw my little patt cross' chest, the skin of which was all pumped up.when i looked closer the ribs looked broke with air under the skin.but she was ruynning around like her self.

what had happen she had been arguing through the mesh with my neoxenglish mastiff ,when the mastiff

lost it and ripped f**k out of the mesh and got at her

just back from the vets ,the've kept her in to drain her lungs etc. luckily theres no shock rib cage looks well

    mangled though.

Time for the vets to fleece me again, but as long as she's ok thats the main thing :good:

  4. how much petrol ? how much diesel did he put in afterwards ? how far has he drove it since ?

petrol in a diesel is'nt that much of a problem if it was the other way round it would be a lot bigger problem.

if you still have doubts get someone to look at it, it could be the head gasket. with troopers the main problem is the chassis which most are rotten and the calipers seize up aswell.

i have 2 very good turbo diesel engines here because the chassis were gone on both motors :(

THANKS FOR THE REPLIES LADS :good: might give it a go if it is the head gasket ,my cousin

runs a garage and he said it'll cost about £200 to fix how much for an engine lucky :D

    all the best lads Roy

  5. Anyone on here know much about deisel engines ?I,ve been offered a isuzu trooper for mooching

it,s only a 'J' REG but will do me for the dogs thing is the lad said he put petrol in it ,hence plumes of white smoke,

Question is is this pukka or could it be more serious, seems pokey enough drives great.

it's only £400 and the body &chassis are solid.cheers in advance for the help,Roybo :good:

  6. whish i had luck like you mate, smoked ham this time as bait, ham gone trap still set. my mate says the rats getting fed better than him, them rats need punishing.......

    all the best Roybo

  7. cheers for the replies lads :good: it's a mate who's selling it

he asked me how much he should ask for, i'd heard a few tales about

them to :( told him he'd be lucky to get a couple of hundred quid but

he would'nt have it  oh well i'll point this thread out to him :good:

    many thanks Roybo

  8. one my managers is an avid bird watcher, with 3 or 4 bird tables in our works yard.

trouble is this has made a haven for the rats!

after numerous comploaints from the office girls and warnings of the disease probs from

me i suggested taking the terriers down.

not on your life he said,so i suggested a live trap, thinking i'd have limited success.

in tree days so far its took 21 rats, needless to say its pissed on my chips as regards to taking the terriers down  but not bad going, even having 3 young uns in 1 go :good: Roybo

  9. GOOD TO SEE ROYBO ,AT LEAST YOU KNOW THE BITCH WILL GO AT ONE NOW ,COLLAR HER UP AND TRY HER THE NEXT TIME , :good:
cheers mate it was just nice having a dog I could trust off the lead not to go down

but still mark :D Oh well this it what there for I suppose problem with her is she's so fine great for catching rabbits not much good for stuff that bites ;):good: Roybo

  10. hows the wee bitch getting on robyo?reading this thread brought back memories of my lurcher showing similar symptoms(tho not nearly as bad, thankfully) after buggering off to **** the rubbish left out at the back of a local factory :icon_redface: .fortunately his vet bill wasn't anything like yours  that and the fact he flipped over after putting a leg in a hole the next week quickly made me get insurance!

    hope the bitch is okay.

she was pts a few weeks back, liver shunt, kindest thing to do as she could hardly get out of her kennel,I put a thread up a while back now but thanks for the interest :good:
  11. had a bitch from a mate of mine a few years back 3/4 patt 1/4 whippet ,always just used her for bushing ferreting marking etc.

would never go to ground which is great when your out ferreting bushing,or so ithought :realmad:

Took her for a stroll near my house, with my lad,she ran through some brambles, scenting the ground, when all of a sudden she's gone :o calling her i heard a faint barking near the brambles

I walk over to check she's not caught up and notice a hole putting my ear to the earth, she was baying like a good 'un oh f**k!!

By this time it's about 730 pm and i'm calling her all I could hear is bay-bump-bay-bump.

Thinking about getting the spade when on top of the bank old chalie goes running off into the distance

closely follow by my bitch, unfortunately missing him,but at least she was out :good:

Little swine had never showed any interest in going to ground before, and thought i had a reliable little bushing dog so never collered her up, thankfully she only had a few scratches, better start keeping her on a lead :icon_redface: hope the young un I'm bringing for next year takes her lead :good: Roybo
