I suppose a few bombings over here in Europe is worth it for all that oil.....

I said he's the lesser of two evils to us and arguably the Syrian people would you not agree? He is still loved by many of his countrymen to this day. We had no right interfering in the Middle East and you know very well that it wasn't for the good of humanity or the fight against terrorism, who sells all the arms to these places and helps create these rebel forces which end up turning on us?

Hey pal I'm just asking questions it's not my fault if you can't or don't want to answer them, feel free to ignore my posts I'd say that situation wasn't helped by the instability caused by a dictator desperately trying to cling to power in the face of a popular uprising... What popular uprising, by who???? We have definitely not helped the situation in the Middle East that's for sure but we've certainly fcuked it up for ourselves and that's my only concern.... Erm the mass protests that were violently suppressed by Assad kicking off the civil war? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_

I think you should change your username to Thrush because you are irritating to fcuk.... You just argue over little pointless with your wisecracking matters while ignoring the serious matters... Must have forgot the part where ISIS began to take over parts of Syria due to our "war" against terror in Iraq, causing even more destruction over there.

No because it's still being run by a dictator.... the USA...... they want the world to bow to their power....So the USA is better at keeping a lid on things than Assad. Shall we hand Syria over to them then?No we should strengthen Assad and let him deal with ISIL, a win win for us don't you agree? Or do you think our western powers should keep selling billions of pounds of weaponry to help kill these poor civilians out there??!I thought it was Western powers getting involved that caused all the problems? If Assad can't fulfill his role as strongman dictator without being propped up by Russia a

We are not in it for the good of humanity, we are involved for the £££££££. You're right, either leave the place the fcuk alone or just be honest with our and their people and say "We, along with the Russians are owning your asses and what????"

Well say a big thank you to Western powers that sell arms to countries that support these rebels...... I see Iraq is paradise since Saddam was toppled... So it's a mess with a dictator and a mess without one. OK then but that's not what you were saying a couple of posts ago? It's more of a mess without a dictator especially to us is it not? What's your solution then Winston? We haven't seen Syria without a dictator so it's hard to say whether it would be more or less of a mess. It's a pretty fecking big mess with one though that we can all agree on. Never said I had the solution, I'm just a

We didn't do too well in Iraq either, Bush and Blair are no better than Saddam and should be punished just the same....
-
All that is true, and another plus is if you leave the dictators in charge then the rebels would have no need to attack us and put our own civilians and soldiers at risk. War against terrorism my arse, it's all for the £££££, our soldiers are unbeknown mercenaries for our governments.

All one sides fault then? I doubt the country would be any more peaceful if the government was overthrown do you?

The thing is, the people of Syria voted for Assad. They know that without him the country would be in a worse state being run by rebels. He is the lesser of two evils imo.... The thing is, the people of Syria voted for Assad. They know that without him the country would be in a worse state being run by rebels. He is the lesser of two evils imo....They didn't vote for him, he took over the job from his father, he's a dictator. There was elections in 2014 but only in the areas loyal to Assad. Yes and under Assad is the only way the people of the Middle East can live in relative peace.

He is the lesser of two evils imo....Sometimes it takes a real man to do the dirty work. Evil or not these men who were/are (aside fuk kim) dictators kept/keep the masses in order without any outside influence Now a real man (Putin) is finally doing the dirty work.

personally I think the west is arming every raving looney in the desert to overthrow Assad without getting there hands dirty, and Russia are helping an elected leader as written in most of the war law books, we have deliberately caused the unrest from Iraq,Afghanistan, Egypt and Libya, and if we are successful in Syria we will move onto Iran, and who knows what will happen when the heavily armed by us, Kurds turn there attention on the land along the Syrian Turkish border that they wish to call home, it's a frecking mess and the blame is firmly at our feet, sorry but that's my ten pence worth
-
You should care though as many others should because last I heard it's the west that is getting the brunt of these terrorist attacks.
-
I'm with the Ruskies on this one without a doubt.....
-
Who do you belive and trust as the best solution in Syria, us or the Russians? I've already got my popcorn ready....
