  1. Hi all, you may say I'm biased, but to be honest - I'm a bit of a convert. I thought that the DSC was a bit of a con, and there are certain aspects of it which I still dislike - strongly! However - I finally gave in to pressure and sat my DSC1 this year to get the bit of paper which tells people (pricipally the Forestry Commission) that I have the knowledge I say I have. In the process, I did learn things I wasn't previously aware of. So - in priciple - I think there is a need for a standard of some sort and - begrudgingly - the DSC1 fits the bill. I didn't do the 3 day residential
  2. Just joined this forum, and already getting educated - great post! Did I see that you have used a cable tie to seal the bottom of the intestine? I assume that you have used another where you cut the bottom of the oesophagus where it comes through the diaphragm - or do you normally take the pluck out in one go then separate the parts for retention in needed afterwards?

I know I was 3m away because I was up a highseat and he was peeing on the botton rung! The appeal below has appeared on another shooting forum, and I am trying to help them raise funds I run a website through which people can learn the theory for their DSC1 to help if they are going to be tested or are attending a residential course http://www.dsctraining.org To help the appeal, if anyone signs up in the next month, I will donate £5 (on third) of their enrollment fee to the charity.
