thats what i`ve always done to my terriers if they growl they do it once thats it they know whos boss ,i can take anything from them bones whole rabbits they dare growl ,as i aint having my grandkid nipped that ever happens they feel the back of the shovel on there head simple as that .

hi all was wondering if anyone in shropshire would mind me tagging along with them when there out hunting ,as ive just moved down from scotland to telford .I`ve been shooting airrifles for years and got a couple of terriers a patt and a lakie dont work em am afraid as they where no quarry only rabbits where i lived in scotland /shetland isles .Any time ou would be great and most welcome .

Hi mate, no more than 2 poss 3 full size or 4 or 5 bantams.......... be sure to fox proof yer pen Your lucky ! Breedwise for egglaying I'd recommend Leghorns (any colour), from a moral point of view get ex battery hens (this is very satisfying) or you could go the rare breeds route. Obviously bantam eggs will be a lot smaller arent they a active bird and good flyers though ,means i`d have to get netting over the top of the run thxs
