    I have often wondered what is it like to lamp the dales,,, are the rabbits easy to catch as some quite good bags are taken up there as ive read. Do you get lots of squatters? it would be nice to hear first hand from people who have lamped the dales as the scenery and landscape is stunning by day. cheers SWG Dave.

    Old characters like Mick the fen man, a couple of old mates of mine Dougie Cooper of CTF fieldsports supplies and not forgetting old Jed Edge. A proper talented old boy, stick carver net maker, great fisherman and a very clever old poacher, who claims to have long netted a wallaby on a big estate in leistershire Lol and i have no doubt, that Jed really was a man of his word, he said the net was boucing 10 foot high, Fecking funny man. I think Phil LLoyd might know old Jed as Jed was always at Dougie Coopers Hunting shop in Sutton in surrey. RIP Jed You were a great man X...

    Over the years of owning and having running dogs i must say that i have met some right old characters,. Some of the people and some of the storys they tell, some funny. some egzagerated, but having said that some quite talented very country wise old poachers indeed. I must say you meet all sorts of people in the dog game, have you any story,s to share about a certain charachter that you think of now and again, be good to hear about them...

    Had a wander out last night, with my mate lamping only running his bitch as my younger dog is recovering from a knocked toe, any way his bitch had 8 runs catching all 8 rabbits. Im not on about catching massive bags just interested in the most consecutive catches on the bounce before the dog missed. His bitch never put a foot wrong and run well. We could of carried on and caught more rabbits, but he was happy with the eight and on our return back to the motor we was walking past rabbits that he could have quite easily slipped the bitch on, but their is always another night hopefully with
