    The flap on the pouch keeps the square plug in, but i agree cigar plugs are shite, i do away with mine and use spade end connectors.

    If you have had trouble with your battery pouch, try looking in an army surplus store. I've got a folding shovel case and it fits a treat.Also its water proof with strong belt clips, and it only cost a fiver. The black cases that come with the battery is the one problem with the kit.

    Trap the cat in a cage trap and hand it in to the pound (once it's out and about)let the owners know. See if they love it as much as your dog. Had a similar thing happen when my mate and me were out with dogs.Ended up with woman cat owner throwing rocks at us(she was only wearing a leopard print dressing gown).We argued that her cat was not under control either.

    Mine is wired straight to the battery.I've had no problems to date. My mate uses cigar type and i've just re-soldered his.

    Cow matting comes in different thicknesses, its a type of rubber very dureble, could be bolted or screwed down. Its used in the dairey industry..

    Have a look on the net for cow mat ,very tough,washes well.My mate bedded 5 hounds on a piece 4ft x 4ft and that lasted years.
