  1. Stu The Latin lesson was unnecessary. I am fully cognisant with the various definition of terminus. Actually it comes first from the Greek word termon meaning boundary. Personally I prefer the following definition. terminus - the ultimate goal for which something is done, goal- the state of affairs that a plan is intended to achieve and that (when achieved) terminates behavior intended to achieve it; "the ends justify the means"
  2. Same here in 2009 early in the second weekend of july.
  3. Sorry to read that Mark...........still the world moves on? It would be a might boring place if we all did the same and thought the same things.
  4. I infer nothing. The evidence speaks for itself. But then crassness has never been hard to come by fromcertain quarters. Whilst never claiming to be perfect. I have never feared criticism. Its part of life. You can address it, take heed of it, and get over it.
  5. John Good to see you realising that others are entitled to express their opinions and refraining from whining to the moderating team claiming victimisation and deliberate disruption of a thread you might have started. A move in the right direction IMO Thanks for the insight into your relationship with Mark. Completely unnecessary that it was. I'm sure you'll both be very happy together some where if not here. Banned.... moi? You seem to know more about that than I do. How can that be one has to ask? Still it has no relevance. FYI I am no one else but myself. Who your other critics
  6. Mark I'm aware of your friendship with John.A fact that many might not be aware of. So you and those as yet uninformed until now will understand why I consider your views some what biased. Having said that they are still worth the effort of answering. Forgive me if I c&p the various points you have raised hopefully doing so will allow for specific answers rather than generalisations, and make for easier reading. 1. Robbo puts a video on here for others to enjoy and comment on but instead gets slagged off for it. If aspects of the video raise questions, doubts or issues are people
  7. Try your nearest equestrian supply store and ask for a martingale ring. Failing that pop into you nearest tyre and exhaust centre and get an exhaust suspension mounting ring. Shouldn't cost you more than a quid which ever one you opt for.
  8. Jeeez, a little overly sensitive ain't we. Take a chill pill Mark. No ones start in on you. Why not reign in that high horse and climb on down with the rest of us humble sods.
  9. I bow to your knowledge in regards to polishing turds and the varied uses Prep H can be put too. You obviously have a wealth of experience on the matter. I consider myself fortunate in that I have never had the discomfort of suffering from a case of the farmers. Then maybe you should try some H or otherwise :whistling: It may smooth and ease some of the excretia you seem to try to spread especially in some of your posts :tongue2: Stu As I said earlier I have to bow to your knowledge on matters appertaining to all things to do with excreta. Be it written, verbal or othe

  11. Laid barley and peas. Will be giving them some grief tomorrow and weds & thurs.
  12. Yep, got the gist of it now. It must all weigh a few ponds? I still stick with the quad sticks or the bi-pod thanks.
  13. I know a couple of stalkers that have tried their hand with the BASC accompanied stalking scheme at Kings Forest @ Thetford and they have both had a really good experience. Seen deer and shot deer. Pity the same couldn't be said for the BASC Arran stalking scheme. But thats a different matter.

  15. Great idea John. I'm not a huge fan of anything to with the cold sea, especially the North Sea so puntgunning wouldn't be high on my list of must do sporting activities. But I'm sure it would appeal to someone. I already swap stalking outings with a couple of friends. I do the stalking they do the track days. Seems to work well for us. Good luck with getting some alternative offers.

  17. Its coming up for that time of the year again when I have to renew the insurance policies. Currently with the NGO for the 3rd party and the NFU for the professional indemnity and commercial insurance. Thinking of swapping to SACS (they offer as good if not better for less money)for the 3rd party and looking for the best deal in regards to the professional indemnity. Any guidance gratefully received.
  18. I have a set of as yet commercially made adjustable tripod sticks given to me by a client. But I prefer to use my home made quad sticks for woodland stalking and walked up vermin control. As they are light and easily deployed. How is the 3rd leg secured and hinged? It isn't very clear from your photos.
  19. In this world there are exceptions to certain rules. In this particular case I(and others)didn't believe we have anything to grant an exception too. However should any of those of a porcine nature decide to depart for pastures new or desist from their current habits. As you claim they are capable of. I'll be the first to wish them well. What else would you have a true sportsman with the best interests in his sport as his sole priority do.........?

  21. If you are unhappy with the product you have the right to return it. As long as it is unused and in the original packaging. The 3 Sales of Good and Services Acts that are applicable in the UK do provide the consumer with a number of protections. The right to return distance purchased good being just one and an immediate 12 month guarantee period being another. This is however subject to a fair usage condition. That the retailers have all failed to mention in any of the advertising the fact that the manufacturer only guarantees their product to be 100% water proof for a period of 6 months,
  22. In the words of the bard. "The lady doth protest too much, methinks." Hamlet Act 3, scene 2, 222–230 Keep up the good work BarryJ, The Stalker et al. You're not alone in your opinions. :clapping: I appreciate that unlike some you have no need to go around the forums members canvassing for support........................... As has been said many times. You can't educate pork................... :piggy:
