  1. hi yeah i was, looking into getting a new scope for rifle when bought, would a fixed zoom be better of around 8x?
  2. hi yeh i think i will go for a cz in the end. hi, "pest control" we wouldn't shoot at an animal if it wouldn't kill it straight out i was just saying that because an egg is the same size as head. plus that video was in wind, and we dont hunt unless calm. im not hunting because i like to see animals die. ps- i wasnt shooting, and we only missed twice. your youtube vids show you missing from about 40yards? although im not trying to be argumentitive/competitive, just saying my opinion... i've/we've done nothing wrong. we all miss
  3. yeah but by the time it gets there, its like flicking it in the ear of course default rifle atm cz 452 synthetic i've looked at .22lr mossberg 802 chromed? £270 new? also at a stretch savage arms .22lr ss thumbhole? £590 new?
  4. hi all this is great keep it coming i would be doing about 50/50 rabbit and target. but if it can hit a rabbit in the head at say 120yards, which a 12ft lbs air rifle can then im happy with that for accuracy. i can stretch at the very limit 800 for rifle including just silencer. i've got bipod and scope. i've heard that sak silencers are decent and only £30? i would rather spend 300-400 so i can buy a replacement air rifle as well. so basically is it worth it for me to spend more?
  5. high everyone thanks for advice. my situation is i can raise about enough so i have 300 for gun or i can stretch for better. i already have an air rifle with good 6-24 scope and bipod so they can be transfered. i had a go with a cz 452 .22lr i think and that for me was emmence. got on first go 2cm groupings at 60 yards not bad for first ever go in very heavy rain and mild wind. i think a .22 is better for me as i will be mainy shooting rabbits at 75ish meters - 1m as i have managed with air rifle. what's the average price for a new rifle as i can get a further £500 from sell
  6. hi, i agree with you in regards to .22 but what im not sure on is the differnet types of .22 ammo you get aswell (wm...), yeh i had a go with a .22lr synthetic bolt action yesterday and they are really nice in comparison to air rifles. i think i would go for a bolty though. any particular ammo type above you would recommend.
  7. good afternoon and welcome, pcp's are the way forward
  8. Hi all, I'm applying for an FAC in the near future and am also going to buy the usual cabinate and ammo safe. after this i am stuck, so heres a few question, dont be afraid to argue it helps me way up the pros and cons. WHAT IS THE BEST CALIBRE FOR RABBITING AND TARGET SHOOTING COMBINED, BUT MAINLY RABBITING? WHAT GUN MANUFACTURES SHOULD I STAY CLEAR OF? WHAT ARE THE BEST MAKES TO LOOK FOR? CZ? FOR A £450 LIMIT WHAT RIFLE WOULD BE RECOMMENDED 1ST/2ND HAND? ANY ADVICE ON WHERE TO LOOK? thanks and i hope this isn't too common.
  9. i've got one of these they are very accurate and efficient, also the stock is very comfortable.
  10. hi and welcome, also a clay, air rifle, crossbow place in barby, near rugby
  11. hi i was thinking of doing that but i didn't take picture on a hunt plus i dont think i would be able to make it to some prizes if i did win so not fair. some great pictures though especially the stream. how would i go about purchashing the calender and when is it likely to be out?
  12. hi, i was in similar situation and was wanting a .22 pcp which was light and performed well. i looked into air arms s200, bsa ultras/hornets/scorpians but eventually went for a falcon prairie they are very accurate and have the same mechanics of the air arms s400 which is the better version of the s200. i love mine
  13. yeah same i found this forum hen looking for picks and i found you! attach a well lit pick of yours?
  14. Alright Darren we sure are pal a nice bit of kit these prairie's just wish mine was multi-shot.. Chris do you reckon a multishot conversion from a similar breached gun would work? i was looking at some at one stage but didnt want to pay the large money for an experiment when i didnt really need a multishot as you get used to reloading quicker anyway. how much did you manage to get your prairie for? both of ya http://www.erifle.co.uk/viewad.asp?id=50015422815100678 - this is going pretty cheap
  15. yeah, i use rws's aswell they're accurate i find aa to be better though, what you thinking of replacing it with if anything?
  16. no for quarry raising etc... although i woud rather tesco's
  17. i've got a falcon prairie cs and they are sooooo nice, i was thinking of selling and getting r-10 but they brake alot apparently. i got mine for £360 with silencer so i was going to sell mine for 420 as i got it reduced from 425 this year! so i would sell it at 420 as they are rare to come by and stocks are one of a kind. the aa i'm not sure probs same really depending on model. both the mechanics are made by the same people anyway. hopes this helps. this is what i managed groupings wise yesterday with aa pellets if you've tried them
  18. welcome, im hopefully starting training in that kind of work/management at the end of year
  19. totally agree with this. i had a springer gamo whisper x, which was good, but... yeah. the a fellow smk bam40 that was a nice action but a shocker and a half for accuracy. after a few more various style i resorted to pcp's after trying my friends hw100t a few years back. definately go for a pcp is you have the money. can get a new one for £180 though from "solware". but welcome anyways
  20. i thought this may be the case but i gave it a go[b/]
  21. HI WELCOME, I ONLY STARTED 4YEARS AGO... "IF YOUR POLITE, WE'RE POLITE"
  22. i'll start with some of my pellets i've tried, all of these i have tried in the same gun which is a Flacon Prairie CS .22. please feel free to add your and same in a different gun. RWS SUPERDOMES 8/10 VERY GOOD GROUPINGS WITH THE ACCURACCY FOR HUNTING AND THEY CAN BE SEEN EASILY WHEN TRAVELLING, AND ARE REASONALBY PRICED. ALTHOUGH THESE ARE FAIRLY WEAK RWS SUPER H POINTS 7/10 GOOD GROUPINGS BUT CAN GIVE ANNOMALIES. VERY SMOOTH MANAFACTURE AND FAIRLY CHEAP. COPPA-POINT-PELLETS (DIABLO EXTRA HARD) 7/10 GREAT POWER DELIVERY WITH HIGH IMPACT BUT THE HAVE A TENDANCY TO GIVE AN
  23. yeah drive by's are pretty god damn hard. although my friend hip fired a small bird with his hw100t
