i seen snoops dog run its not a bad sort,but not a world beater.but if anyone wants to pay for my fuel and a bit of beer money for me to come on to the fens i will show em a proper dog run

i do a bit of rabbit lamping these days,but my 2 coursin dogs struggle when it comes to hedges and fences,so i can tell you daytime if they where in scotland where these fences are they would pull up left right and centre and they run the fens from pups

No one saying the fen hare is special but must have something if the best dogs in the country are getting tested on it any how that not what am saying. I say it again do you think that a dog that just runs the big fields off England can go up to Scotland and catch hares with wall, gates ,ditches, fences etc etc in its way. a fen dog would be shit up in scotland the hare would be a way and gone why the fen dog thinking of it pre ban

i run the fens pre ban for over 30 yrs and seen all dogs catch hares on them from pure salukis to labradors,but please dont dish these dogs as it takes a special dog to catch a fen hare even seen a border terrier catch one in january 1983

theres no doubt that saluki was flying.but at the end it had slowed down a lot lacking a bit of stamina so i think its a x with something else as the whippet soon caught up

breed standard states says it all realy and if she works day and night in the same 24hrs there must not be plenty of rabbits about you she is a show whippet and they dont inpress me much

some good replys thankyou, but in my day i liked to walk the big land and 3 runs where never enough i wanted to run the dogs till i was happy 7 8 or even 9 runs a day now iam a differant person i lamp rabbits mainly just to get out of the house as i dont like the mrs much and theres nothing on tv we dont have loads of rabbits but 10 runs for a dog is an average night and the bitch is knackered now with that,but when i was younger i wouldnt of been happy with that number i like to know what the dogs are like, if there something special, suppose its my competitive streak coming

well hi, besides my introdution on here this is my 1st topic. i been watching this site as a guest for a fair few months and i thought it was time i joined it,so here goes, ive read all the topics on good dogs bad dogs big dogs little dogs so what pre ban or now is a good dogs catch rate????? my 2 would always catch ok numbers but what is good numbers a week 3 hares a day x 4 days a week??? 20 rabbits a night x 5 nights a week??? 2 roe a night 4 nights a week or a fox a night 5 nights a week????? where do we realy say our dogs are good or where good pre ban??

So, what do you do with them when you go to work? iam a keeper so they come with me honestly there with me 24/7 except in the bedroom dont like dogs in the house
