    Im in the process of filling out my FAC and just wondering what sort of ammunition allocation I should put down for a 22 rimfire for shooting a few rabbits on a small farm. I know rimfire allocations can be up to 1000/1200 rounds but wouldnt think I would use a lot of ammo so what do you recommend? Also how easy it is to change your ammo allocation should I get more land to shoot on and so need more? Cheers

    Going down to fife field sports in kirkcaldy to look for a shotgun cabinet and possibly a gun. just wondering if anyones been and if they stock a good range of guns?

    they arent goretex lined no. the camo one has taped seams and is just a thin top layer waterproof. the helly hansen has a thicker cushioned lining for warmth

    aye mate good enjoying it, got a place down in the borders on a pheasant shoot going to do a bit of work for a boy down there once ive finished college. will keep that in mind and possibly get back to you about ghillieng, is there accomodation available with that?

    Got a few bits of clothing i bought for college but got issued waterproofs from college so there up for sale. Got a army issue camo waterproof jacket only worn a few times, as new condition. Good lightweight waterproof jacket. Size XXL. Looking for £25 posted. Also got a Helly Hansen jacket, as new condition. good warm, waterproof jacket, cost £60 new a few months ago, looking for £30 posted. Also XXL. Jack Pyke waterproof overtrousers. Lightweight good for going through long wet grass. Also as new condition, one size fits all, looking for £25 posted.

    Watched Friday's landward programme where they were looking at Larsen traps and if keepers were using them legally. They brought on a guy from the RSPB who was complaining about cases where Golden Eagles were being caught in Larsen traps. I dont know a lot about Larsen trapping but surely an eagles wingspan would stop it going in a Larsen. He was also saying how controlling corvids doesnt have any affect on numbers of song birds? Seems like between RSPB and BBC they are trying to get rid of everything positive keepers do for the countryside. Waiting with interest to watch tonights show on BBC

    Hi folks Im a student keeper and I'm keen on getting my firearm and/or shotgun licences but have no permissions to use them on and so cant yet get them. Just wondering if anyone knows of anywhere, around Perth, Scotland ideally, where I could do a bit of shooting so I can get my licences. Cheers

    just looking for your opinions on a good .22 or .17hmr rifle to be used for rabbits and a bit of vermin etc. Need something second hand that will be pretty cheap around £200. cheers

    mallards usually lay around march-july though they can lay earlier than that in some cases

    im new to fly fishing and just wondering whats the best flies to use to fish a river for brownies?

    You dont have to but not many places will take you on if you dont have a qualification or a load of experience, but if you dont have great knowledge or experience of keeping then I would recommend doing a course.
