  6. A "genuine" lad wouldn't be breeding and selling pups from a breed known to have hip problems without hip scoring first of all. This "breed" should also have eyes and elbows scored as well. And I suppose you're perfect are you Kiz? Yes maybe he shouldn't have bred from a breed known to have hip problems without getting them scored first and maybe he should have their eyes scored, (I believe spec savers are ok Pip), and maybe he should have had their elbows tested but he hasn't has he. Neither parents or grand parents have shown any problems, and before you start, I know this doesn't
  7. As Higgins has said, the lad is a genuine lad and I have been out with him many times. I can understand his reluctance to have people he does not know around to his house as he has had dogs taken before, hence the reason for geting the rotties in the first place. I have seen both these dogs and both would be available to be seen, Im sure if you asked him he would bring the parents with him when and if you were interested in meeting him. Rather than people jumping on the band waggon and slagging him and the dogs off, as is all too common on here, why dont people who are genuinely interested
  8. Congrats pal, glad your and gnippers are doin the job. Both the pups I was tempted to keep!!!! Sods law I suppose
  9. Hi All, Well some of you may remember I was giving up back in November but after much thought I decided Id keep the brindle pup. Hes now almost 12 months old and is 26.5" tts and coming along nicely. He jumps, although sometimes a bit hesitantly at first but time and experience will perfect this. Hes broken to stock, comes back when called, walks at your side and doesnt drag you on the lead. He retrieves his ball or anything you throw on walks but still giddy with the few rabbits hes had. Hes silent in the kennels and I dont think Ive ever heard him bark. Hes great with other d
  10. Thanks for that, hadnt realised I'd been so brief. His father is a dog called Zak originally from Huddersfield and now down in Heathrow i believe. 30"tts powerful but racey too for his size. Doing what he was bred for. 3/8 5/8 bullx Mother is a 3/4 bull x again doing what she was bred for and I believe shes 25" tts and again racey. The pup is around the 23/24" mark already and as you say has plenty knuckle left. Hes going to be a big powerful dog and showing willing already. If it moves he wants it. Very well behaved pup. Not giddy or boisterous until; you start to play with him and
  11. Hi all, The black dog has now gone but the pup is still for sale. If you Pm me Ill try and get back to you asap but am at work at the min so might get to dinner time or later on today. Cheers
  12. Hi All, Well its a hard decision to make, but if Im bein brutally honest I just havent got the time anymore. I have a new job, kids and long hours so leaves me very little time to do the things which I enjoy the most and as a result I have been out very little lately and its not fair on the dogs so they have to go. The first is George who I wrote about as a pup. Hes a 27" 3/4 bullxgrey. Very racey, very quick and doing very well. He jumps, he retrieves, he waits while you get over fences till called hes good with stock and is doing everything he should be doing. His only down fall and
  13. Sorry mates hes gone. Gnipper off here has him.
  14. Well it gets better and better. Since the escapade with my last dog and sheep I was very paranoid about the same happening again, so I've been showing him for quite a while now but not let him loose. So today with him coming on well and showing no signs of interest I though why not. So we enter the field in question and I let him off and immediately produce his favourite tennis ball and immediately have his undivided attention. So off I set walking with him staright towards the sheep and still hes only got eyes for me. So I walk right through them and not one bit of interest in them in
  15. Went for a wander yesterday between showers and thought I'd take the camera with me. George is coming on a treat. Hes 8months on the 8th June and is now 25.5"tts. Hes a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 bull. He retrieves excellently, stays to 100yards (not tried any further), waits to 100 yards until I call him and is learning to jump nicely. Very keen at retrieving and finding him a pleasure to train. I keep him interested by varying his routine between retrieving, jumping, staying, waiting, retrieving over obstacles and finding in cover/grass. He seems to enjoy it as much as me. Roll on start
  16. surprised thats all he did. He was forever nicking anything he could get in his house and then leggin it down the garden. Or if the other dogs had anything he would take it off them and jump the wall they couldnt jump then sit watching them or leave it on the opposite side of the wall and go back and play with them, minus the item he nicked from them!
  17. beddy/whippet x wheaton bull/greyhound hes a good looking dog great markings, am pretty sure he will hes very keen already He was very keen when he was here and definately has a mind of his own and was very mischievous . He had no problems jumping a 3 foot fence either. That was self taught and i hadnt encouraged him in the slightest. Hes definately going to be a hand full but I think he'll do you proud. Hes going to be a strong dog.
  18. Looks taller already from the side on shot, but at the side of the big one he seems small still! Glad hes settled in.
  19. Hes same. Recalls good. retrieve ok, not perfect but ok and hes very friendly and willing to please. But around new people hes a bit timid at first but settles quickly. Have to keep me posted on his progress
  20. Unfortunately due to a change in my family life and circumstances recently I have to let another dog go. I havent enoygh time on my hands to train two pups so it isnt fair on either of them and Id rather have one well trained dog than two half trained dogs. Im letting the brindle pup go I bred in October. His mother is a beddy/whippet x wheaton greyhound 20" and his dad is a bull x 3/8 5/8 and 26". The pup is 6 and a half months old and is around 21". Just started him jumping obstacles and walking on lead. Recalls and retrieves and needs some one on one time to get him doing the rest. As i say
  21. We got one over here near to the reebok stadium at bolton, frequently seen on the fields and even around the round about over the M61. Hes been around a few years now. The albino gene isnt a dominant gene but is passed on to the young. Albinos are only produced by two parents are carrying the albino gene. Think theres two near middle brook but one isntexacly albino its a sort of cinnamon/ brown colour.
