    cheers mate, i understand that but i asked a similer question on another forum, that shall remain nameless, i got slated!! i gave as good as i got but it put me off asking for advice as i didnt see the need to rip into me for asking a seasoned falconer there opinion

    hi everyone, im confused as to why my male harris has suddenly started being vocal when he sees me? ive never fed him in the aviary or in my back garden so thats not the reason, but for the last two days as soon as he sees me he starts screaming, any and all advice will be greatly recieved, hes never been vocal before?

  9. hi everyone, i have for sale my harris's wooden transport box, its a large box and has a single turf covered perch in the middle and locking door, only getting rid as ive just bought a new one, also a set of traditional scales again with a turf covered perch and a bag of weights, both in good condition, dont want much for them just want them out of my shed, cheers... call or text 07810044218, ill accept £50 ono
  10. id love to get some footage of him during the day and see what he gets up to!! ive been putting the sudocrem on now for nearly a week and the graze has all but healed up now, put some vertical bars down the front of the aviary so hopfully thatl be the end of his head butting!! cheers for all the comments guys, very useful place to ask questions this forum

  14. i caught him the other day flying at a magpie that had rested on the aviary, bloody mental arnt they? ive just spoke to my avian vet and he said that the best thing to do is clean the wound with a saline sollution and then apply a small amount of sudocrem to the graze for a few days, he also said i should put some extra vertical bars down the front of his aviary to act as a visual deterent to him... hope this works cheers for the comment
  15. cheers mate yea im going to take him to the vets, hes not bleeding from the nostril its right at the top of his beak, cant understand why or how hes done it?? you think somethings spooked him? or is it more likely hes tried to get at something?
  16. Got home yesterday to find that my harris has caught the top of his beak on something resulting in a bloody nose!! anything i can do to clean/dress it? hes been free lofted now for about 9 days and hes never managed to hurt himself before?? any help will be greatly recieved

  18. flew my harris un-clipped yesterday for the 1st time... what a buzz seeing him come back to me knowing that if he wanted to he could have done one!!!

  20. Hiya mate, im pretty new on here to, however ive had permision to shoot/hunt on a mates land, hes got about 8 acres of land/wood area, its nowere near you but if you wanted to travel to manchester then i can arrange for you to use it
  21. 40 ft yesterday and then 20ft to the glove without any food just a call!!

  23. Finally got my Harris to fly to me on the creance, what a buzz!!

  24. Whoo hoo got my haris to eat 2 chicks off my glove today, get in!!!!!!
