I have a similar problem, two labs kennelled together and tried leaving one in the kennel while i take the other one just causes lots of issues around noise. I now take them both out in the car, but only have one out at a time. This works great and saves on fuel lol
Good luck
Guys

Considered this with my young Labrador, but think i will train him myself, just having the odd one to one session with a local gundog trainer to point ME in the right direction. Like others have said its very rewarding when it starts to come together. My lad is only 11 weeks but getting him to do the first sit and then stays plus recall is all amazingly rewarding and helps me bond with him
Thanks Lab,My dog will be inside at nightimes but whilst we are both out at work I think it will be good so the dog to be outside (if not just to save it chewing the house to pieces!)
Thanks guys, like i say that info has helped massively, I am definitley gonna get mine built for the hours I am away at work.
Just for abit more info, at what age are you hoping to start leaving the dog outside?
Not having a go but I was told not to leave a labrador by itself being a pack animal. 2 would be ok but not one? Will the dog live in there all the time? i.e at night or is it just for the day time?
Looks a lovely run though mate, and like I say not having a pop at all just curious as I am looking at this myself
Well I have took the plunge and added another member to our house. His name is Bentley and he is a pedigree fox red Labrador. He will be my first dog but not my other half as she has owned Labs before. First question is I am wanting to do some picking up with him and have him as my peg dog eventually. What would you suggest I buy in the way of dummies etc for the basic training/retrieval training? Got a couple of 1/2lb dummies on there way but what else will I need. Just to help people reply, here is a picture of him at 4 weeks (we pick him up in 4 weeks also)
Thanks in advance

Guys
I am on the search for a Fox Red Lab Bitch, must be from working lines with a decent pedigree. Does anyone on here have any contacts who may have some pups coming up I am prepared to wait for a litter if any dogs are going to stud.?
The lab will be a working dog and I am really looking for decent lines when buying. Must be hip and eye scored and KC registered. I have seen plenty on the net but would like to buy from someone who comes recommended.
Let me know if you can help

Quick Update:
Just had a call from the FEO, he is visiting me on Wednesday to check cabinet and have a chat.
Nervous now!!!!
Not bad service only 19 days from applying to visit. Thumbs up for South Yorks so far!

Well the wait begins, application went in today so fingers crossed it wont take too long. Cabinet being stored at the girlfriends house as my mum doesnt want guns in the house! Made sure this was ok with the firearms dept first. So hopefully South Yorkshire Police will be good as I have heard some bad stories but none so far about S.Yorks.
Cant wait, already window shopping!!!
Will keep everyone updated.
