Really that's what I was hoping I wanted something with pere in most probably perexsaker or perexgyr Its not nothing im going to rush into and im getting hands on experience with falcons volunteering at my local bird of prey center so until I feel fully confidant in getting one going PROPERLY I wont bother Thanks again lads

  5. So did i. But spent more time with the telemetry looking for it than I did watching it in action. Falcons are the flight birds were hawks will give you sport all day. I got my falcon to clear the corvids on my permission, as soon as the car pulled up they were gone, once they new the falcon comes out of it. Like i said, i just prefer hawks.   6. I was really thinking about staying with the hawks but I have a major soft spot for falcons lol

Well im not going to jump into anything and im still very much enjoying flying the harris hawks but next year I would love to have something capable of taking these pesky critters ( Crow magpie & rook ) mainly off the fist a few fellow falconers I know have said go the gos route but me being me still want to fly a falcon Any ideas of whats best to take them I know theres so many hybreds now a days and im not too sure on what to start off with as it will also be my first falcon Also what weights should i be looking at?? I think I will go for a male whatever cross or purebred I get

  11. love the falcon pics mate I REALLY want to fly one of these only something small like a perixsaker male just for magpies and crows off the fist maybe next season or the one after once I got more pens built lol

Oh how I love a good hare course Fingers crossed I can get my new female taking them but to be honest im not going to rush her into it get quite a few rabbit under her belt first and get the head holds on the mark then well watch out hares lol any more pics mate ? ill ask my mate if he has any cos i dont take a camera out with me but he does so usually gets quite a lot of pics. Well the moult has officially set in with most of our birds moulting heavily by now I seem to find myself bored out my skull most days so I thought I would start a thread just so everyone can put some of last seasons photos up All shortwing and broadwing photos of our hunting days and kills Here's a few to start it off here is my old male 8 year old flying at 1lb 8 to 1lb 9 ish towards the end of season blinding little male was amazing on rabbit considering his size was and so committed to them A fair trade is no robbery
