About Me

I live in Iver, Bucks, but Scarborough, North Yorkshire is "home". Grew up in Africa and Central America. Shot Skeet, Trap, Goose, Duck, Pigeon and Quail as a kid with my Larona 20 bore side by side. Did some plinking with a cheap spring air rife with iron sights. Occasionaly got to shoot my dad's Smith and Wesson .38 lightweight and carried my mum's palm sized .22 semi if we were going anywhere risky. Later had a military style lever cocked .22 with scope for a while.

Was on the regimental shooting team in the Army, got to Bisley Service Rifle Championships three years running. Shot SLR, SMG, 9 Mil Browning, and GPMG. Could drop a figure 12 target at 600 metres with iron sights. Later shot 5.56 SA80, and also won bronze in British Army Small Bore Championship. Got a possible on my last APWT with 9 Mil Browning. Had a shotgun licence for a while in Winchester for field clay shooting but let it lapse when I moved. My guns (Larona 20 bore and 12 bore Skeet over/under) are on my brothers licence and in his keeping for the moment.

Haven't shot at all really for last 14 years except my Umarex CPSport .177 CO2 pistol but am about to collect my new Gunpower Stealth 2000 with accessories, tank and Hawk MAP Pro scope so we'll soon see if I've still "got it" or have lost the skills.

I run a MKII Disco with remap, variable nozzle turbo, big intercooler and 3" exhaust. Currently fitting twin EGT/Boost guage, and plan a discreet installation of a winch at some stage.

I have a JRTCGB Jack Russell Fox Terrier currently 6 months old which I'm hoping to bring on if anyone can give me the opportunity. We have the odd rat and a few rabbits around the house to control but need to train the terrier. Any opportunities to train and work "Hoover", shoot or offroad (perhaps supporting hunts) will be very welcome.
