  3. Cheers mate, burning could be a little awkward and doubt the wrapping would be intact at the landfill. Normally don't like to waste much, feathers go to the sparrows and carcasses to old Charlie and anything else fancying a feed. The fleas are my concern of course. Karpman
  4. Hey guys, The myxie has been in the area for a couple of weeks and finally landed on my perm which consist of four rugby pitches three side by side and one length ways. there's is perhaps twenty individual rabbits including kits in any one three hour session so there's not masses of em, now the myxie has arrived should be on an all out cull or just the ill and play it by ear and shoot nothing but the clearly infected? I have wrapped the young doe in an air tight bag to keep any fleas in and she is set for the bin as I don't want to take any chances wither the rabbits close to home
  5. Hey guys Just rolled up at my perm first thing I clap eyes on a young doe with myxie. Put the poor Bugger to sleep of course and can't help but feel a little gutted. Karpman
  6. Yeah I agree, all seems to end in name calling and abuse. The number of posts in the airgun hunting section seems to of tailed off too. People to scared to post about there escapades for fear pc persecution, post being pulled and whole load of white generally aimed at airgunners. No pics from the mole either who has been on receiving end of abuse. Personally I try to remain impartial to any hunting activities within the law and.congratulate those who get out there and then take the time to write about it. As for whackin the odd magpie in the name of song bird survival studies have
  7. Jasper with all due respect mate the only weapon you mentioned in the first post.was 12g, not air rifle. Your post is directly about conservation of sport and or species and refers to rabbit as game. And there you go insulting folk calling them numptys. I shall be shooting some number of kits in the near future, as few as I can get away with to keep my living larder. Atb Karpman

  11. Just a thought but should this not be on the conservation board anyway instead of just trying to get airgunners backs up again... yawn Karpman.

  13. Got my perm about two months after getting back into country pursuits. It's four rugby pitches with a good few rabbits not what I would call and infestation but they are digging in the pitch and starting to create problems. I shot another rabbit for the pot last night and after showing the chap I deal with he was most pleased, but asked about the number of young rabbits and what I am doing about them. So a couple of kits must go end off. As for method of control air rifle is one if the more effective ways in this case, most warren border a country park or are of rubble type, they want
  14. Here we go again. You were part of the clan dividing. He was acting within his rights, within the law so why criticise and get all moralistic. Wave good bye to another thread. Karpman
  15. Was getting a tad silly, could show the forum in bad light. Tit for tat arguments as opposed to reasonable debate. Atb Karpman
  16. Yeah sorry dude bit narley at The minute, bloody handy to have on board. So simple even for a novice.
  17. Why would you take a shot because you have one? I can dispatch birds or any other quarry I'm likely to encounter with.my hands and have done many times, that don't mean it's the best method do'es it. There a great bit of kit and wish I had one earlier on driven shoots. Guess you have 100 per cent shot to kill ratio, if only we could all be so perfect... Karpman Edit just to say this review was meant to maybe help some, maybe even be useful. Will be the last one I wright due to the pedantic nature of folks around here. Cheers Karpman

  19. Hey people After a post on here and a bit of research I decided to take the plunge on a pair of Humane bird dispatching pliers. Here I actually paid just over 16 quid for mine new from Fleabay, So made a decent saving. The reason I fancied a pair was not because I was squeemish as was suggested more to do with a fast clean and clinical way to dispatch birds when things have gone wrong.... Me pliers arrived over a week ago and first impression were fairly well built, Small enough to fit in a game bag and rather light too. Things could not get anymore simple with a little digram on

    mixy

Two fields away from my perm. Had permission to mop them up.with the dog, unlucky for the rabbits but my pooch thinks he is the tits. I eat them if there not to under weight and they don't honk to much from the enlarged privates. The fields near my house got wiped out by it and seemed to take an age to come back. Wondering how the buzzards will do as will they be helpful in nailing effected rabbits fast or will they spread mix to en even worse degree. Karpman
  21. They are superb. Mine has accounted for fifteen pigeon, two squirrels, one rabbit and a magpies thus far. Cannot recommend em enough
  22. Dont have the shooting times mate and not about to run out to get it so how's about a quick overview? Survey if the mod for it was illegal and thus damaging to the sport the post should of been removed? On the contrary he asked why si removed it. Karpman
