  1. I bought this DIY night vision kit and it is now surplus to requirements. It works perfectly and is a high quality military spec item. It also comes with front lens, not listed £110 The kit cost £432 + lens £110 = £532 Id like to swap for a Leupold VX111 scope with side parallax. Look at link below for the item. http://www.starlightnv.co.uk/diy_night_scopes.html
  2. The NS200 is better than n550 in my book, Much clearer natural picture on the nitesite. plus it does a better job at half the price.
  3. Doesn't look like theres much room for the attachment.
  4. im after a VX3, or M4 tactical Should say LEUPOLD in Title
  5. I put in for FAC air for sporting purposes/vermin control. When i got it i wanted MORE, so put in for variation for .22lr for longer range vermin and a .222 dedicated fox rifle. Got them all open ticket no restrictions. Have put in for another variation to swap .22lr for a 17hmr , this has been accepted so will do swap when i get home in 3 weeks.
  6. I used one with a foxpro spit fire and it worked within minutes. This happened over a month ago, set them up in a field together walked 70ish meters and there was a fox sat looking at it. Im sure it was the sounds from the spitfire but it was defo looking at the critter. Worth the money if you ask me, The fox is in fox heaven now.
  7. yep, Defo a land owner would be the easiest option. the bigger the better. and away from population even better still. But if your trying to get a cert for your pest control im not sure of the requirements, They may be different, Im sure there are a lot of professional pest controllers on here who will give you the correct advice
  8. I just sold one, optically it just didnt do it for me. I think in all honesty the Nite Site NS200 is better at nearly half the price. if you can save another 600 quid the starlight archer blows it out of the water.
  9. I have an Air Arms S510 , it goes from 7-32lb with the turn of a dial. I get 45 plus shots per fill. Accurate, yes its that good im trading in my 22lr as the air rifle covers all i need for short range.
  10. CZ all the way mate. More fun than spending half the day sorting out stoppages!
  11. Sounds like someone cant be arsed doing their job to me. all it takes is a phonecall to the other areas FEO simple, job done, and as for family not being able to vouch is complete BS. Experience is experience doesnt matter who it is with.
  12. Id go for both, As the FAB have really improved and have become super efficient. Ive just put in for a variation and got it back in 5 days!. Obviously itll take a bit longer for your cert, but compared to years ago when people were waiting nearly a year, you should have it back within a month or so. Im not really into shotgun shooting but a wee CZ .22 rifle should be cheap enough and great fun, the silent killer!
  13. Another one for the Archer, Grade D, no dark spots, Excellent, ive had a Pulsar and the archer blows it out of the water. If your on a budget the Nite Site NS200 is excellent. I do own one. I sold the pulsar to buy it. In order of the ones ive used. 1- Starlight Archer £1600 2- Nite Site NS200 £600 3- Pulsar N550 £1000
  14. I have tried it with a hawke varmint half mildot and it wasnt great to be honest. Just couldnt get it to focus right. However MTC scopes, same sort of price are spot on.
  15. Hi folks , im wondering if there are any long ranges in Northern Ireland. Im after a range up to and over 300 meters long, I have a .222 and want to spend time to get to know its capabilities. I have plenty of land to shoot on but id prefer the range aproach cheers for your help
  16. Id put in for a .222 as its a golf course, im sure your FAO will be worried about anything bigger ie 223 wizzing around. I got land passed for a .222 on a golf course but there is a lot of empty farmland around it. If i were you id ask for a 22lr for short range vermin ie rabbits and a 17hmr or a .222 for the foxes.
  17. Hi Mate, I had a .222 passed for a golf course and surrounding land for fox control, around 500 acres. It is probably the smallest centre fire round for foxes but leathal and accurate up to about 200-250 yards. But you could go for the old 17 hmr , a lot cheaper and accurate up to about 150 yards. both rifles will set you back £200- £300 second hand. Ammo for the .222 is about 90p per round. Plus dont forget moderators. you have to say you need them for health and safety for your hearing and noise polution.
  18. Hi folks, i was wondering if anyone can help me , Im seriously considering buying an Archer from Starlight , however does it fit onto a Leupold M4 with illuminated reticle. Im thinking the brightness on off Adjuster knob might be in the way? Thankyou in advance Cheers
  19. Hi Folks, i own a Falcon Prairie light hunter .177. a year or so ago i found a website that sold specially made adapters to fit on the rifle that enabled you to put a 8 shot mag i think? onto the rifle. Can anyone help me as to who made these. Thankyou for your help. Cheers
  20. Today confirmed it for me. I was getting nice tight groups with Eley HP up to 70 meters. I had a few mags of Winchester Super Xs and they were not as tight and had a lot more richochets from them. So My Sexy CZ loves Elys.
  21. You will need referees, These are two people who have known you more than 5 years i think. You will also need land to shoot on and get the land owner to sign a form You will have to supply your doctors name , they check to see if your nuts or not. with regards to the criminal record, as long as its not for violence you should be ok. It can take a long time to get it too, It took me about 5 months all together, but i have heard of it taking a lot longer.
  22. Wonder why remmies havent got any votes yet lol
