nice photos mate. We know small dogs are good at rabbiting and lamping rabbits is one thing but do you think them same dogs are capable of beating a tried and tested hare dog? Personally I dont think so. I'd like to be wrong but I don't think I am. i agree mate even though they look and maybe are great dogs nice to see someone getting full pertential out of there dogs,by the way good pics mate.

nice dogs mate about same size as my bitch,but not big enough for the hares mate.

one of the pictures is old but the clearer one is of the rabbits a pup of mine caught on a nights lamping,hes 24 inch to the shoulder.

there are some good dogs of that size,but on avarage the larger dogs seem mor consistent,its nice to see an exception ive seen a few.

you wouldnt get many consistent dogs less than 24 inches,i would bet on it.

her name was bell in the day she did 4 out of 4 and she wasnt saluki cross,even though i still think you cant beat a saluki cross,bell wasnt a gambling dog but did put food on the table,stopped running her when she was 9 years old,even then she still loved a chase on an hare,best alrounder ive ever had.

my other bitch which i have now is 20 inch to the shoulder can take both but cannot keep nowhere near a 26inch lurcher in the field,shes good for bolting rabbits and quick of the mark but on a long run even though shes got stamina,this is where the bigger dog comes in,im not pulling anyone with a small lurcher as i have one myself but over the years of going out and seeing loads of lurchers in the field its my opinion.

i like a big dog 26 27 inch,better pace,and my old bitch was 26 inch did well over a thousand rabbits,loads of hares,worked day and night,she loved it,she was a very well known bitch in her time this was taken 20 yrs ago.
