    I'm on avid Osram fan myself...I have a 12v lead Homebase torch with a Xenon bulb added to it, GREAT! but it only lasts about 30 mins. I also have a High powered LED "what a waste of money that was".... Next on the agenda, prior to saving enough cash to purchase a proper HID hunting lamp is to add a car HID conversion to the Homebase beast Feed the kids before purchasing any more lamps aye?

    Haha, I've got a walk around though, I hold the bulb end into my jacket prior to releasing the power...the more use it gets, the better it fire's! I was thinking of buying an Osram or Philips bulb for it but as you know I wanted to find out what determines the firing time before I forked out my hard earned cash.

    Just back, stood on the pup saw 3 rabbits whist Tia was leashed, walked a few more miles, saw nothing so I decided to head home and let her have a sneaky mooch on the cricket pitch "Naughty" next thing someone most have bowled her a fast rabbit because when I lamped up she was belting round like a mad hound. Anyway the rabbits live to die another day. Not been a bad year for UK cricket! And with regards to full moon lamping, erm well it's like a fat bird compared to gale force darker conditions Thanks for everyone's advice! Taurasmark.

    I went out for the first time in the snow just before proper crimbo - what a pointless waste of time that was lol, I had heard people say you wouldn't need a torch but I was gob smacked to see how true they were lol

    I bought one of these from China Torch It's a HID Xenon 35w with a Lithium Polymer battery. Good points. 1. The beam is incredible! 2. I've never struggled to see anything! 2. Not as heavy as carrying lead batteries around with you. 4. Can hide it easy, no wires to mess about with. 5. Made from military grade aluminium. 4. Lasts over an hour. 5. Beam can be adjusted. 6.     Might give it ago, I have a new pup and I want him to witness his first ever chase....but i'd sooner get a good nights kip if I thought i'd be wasting my time as the dogs have been on a huge mission already today.
