Ha! That makes me feel better!

Had a call from a neighbouring farmer earlier on today (dont actually live on our farm-about 3 miles away) saying there were kids on 2 motox bikes and a quad going around our fields! Jump in the landrover and off i go to see if i can catch the little s**ts in action. Anyway by the time i got there i couldnt see or hear anything so had a spin around the perimiter of our land which is encircled by some minor roads, then bumped into (not literally ) the farmer who originally called me-fair play to the guy he had come over to offer his assistance in telling these muppets to 'frank boff'. Now th

Yeah, another young talented racer is lost, but then thats the nature of the beast in this sport. They all know the risks. Big respect to each and everyone of them. RIP.

Cheers for the advice guys. Will do a search.

If the new P.M. sticks to his word (yeah, i know you cant trust those politicians) he said they'd take a good look at changing the law as he said he was a 'country boy' that understands the importence of hunting. We shall see-fingers crossed. -

First of all guys let me stress that im pro-hunting with dogs, but i cant believe 'wounding rates with a rifle can be up to 48%'. If someone's getting a wounding rate that high the t**t shouldnt be bloody shooting! I aint saying im a spot on marksman by a long shot (no pun intended ) but i can put my hand on heart and say ive only lost 2 foxes in hundreds shot. Anyway i genuinly hope this government see's sense and makes hunting legal again. -
Hi peeps. Getting a springer pup in the near future-will be my first working dog. Its from a working background, what i want to know is, are there any good books knocking about to assist me in training it? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers.

Went for a few beers to my local today and got chatting to this old guy about bikes (we were watching the moto gp qualifying) anyway turns out he's a farmer 10 miles away from me. Mentioned i did some fox control for one of his neighbours, he replies 'can you sort out a few problem foxes on my land'. 'yep no worries!' I always carry land permission forms in the car (which i left in the pub carpark) so off i go, he signs the form-sorted! 200 acres of extra land for me. Couple of hours pass and my mate comes in with his new 'apprentice'-turns out his old man owns another farm 5 miles from me,

foxbasher replied to perthshire keeper's topic in General Talk
Very tough choice but think mine would have to be, 1. Nissan Skyline gtr34 2. Ford RS200 3, Holden V8 SS Ute Nothing really cutting edge technology but each one of them rings a bell with me. -

dont get me wrong pal i know moto gp is the ultimate its just i was making a point that TT riders have had wins/championships on the short circuits maybe not moto gp though They are all good at what they do, in BSB when he was in it, I had admire LEON CAMIER, because when he came off on the mountain at Cadwell, it must have took some bollocks to get back on and give it what he had, and it did'nt seem to slow him down much over the next two seasons For you guys that havnt seen Mr Camiers off on 'the mountain' just go on youtube and search 'leon camier cadwell crash'-keep a

I must have missed something ...but fox has orange eyes to me, although I have had a couple over the last two years with BLUE eyes, very unusual and new to me...my lad is colour blind and sees things I find strange, who knows what who else sees, but as long as it is consistant does it really matter? Depends on the age of the fox in your lamp. Generally the older the fox the more orange they will appear. Can vary from pale green/watery blue through to orange.

How do mate? To be honest they were pretty good in dealing with the application. I was granted what i asked for (.222 and .17HMR) the local FEO is a sound bloke who's always there to help on various queries i have. All in all a good force to come under in my experience.

My eldest daughter comes out wth me (she will be 6 next month) and she really enjoys it. Take her sniping rabbits with my hmr (obviously she doesnt do the shooting). Personally think its really important to get kids 'out there' in the country. She enjoys being taught about different animal tracks and wildlife in general-i'd much rather her being out with me than playing the bloody nintendo wii! So long as they're educated properly (thats the kids-not the rabbits! ) and understand the the necessity of vermin control-i always explain why i shoot various pests. She's nagging to come out lamping -
Dont think they do-if searched for a larger mag for my 1517 carbine. Think its just a case of getting a couple of spare mags.
