  1. may not be the right place for which i apolagise, just lost my mum to massive brain heamorage, makes you think what it,s all about, your only here once, going to do what i love doing, hunting wi the dugs and ferrets, nobodys going to tell me what i can and can,t do, feck the ban i,m going to be ootside all winter in the countryside, feeling alive, just try and stop me,freedom.

I,ll see you on the other side mum,god bless.

  2. yeah the advice from eveyone is spot on, helping loads. just need to get him to finish the job and actually kill the rabbit now, catches up with them but doesnt seem to strike properly just loves chasing em.

don,t worry about not connecting properly, inexperienced dogs will sometimes try to swipe at the quarry with their paws etc but they soon learn to to get a grip, don,t get frustrated, sounds to me they should be ok just keep at it.atb.

  3. Hi all just visiting from the ferreting section lol, I have a dog just over a year old now not 100 percent sure what's in him saluki x whippet x grey x dash of bull x lurcher type anyhow working on his recAll at the moment I didn't get him till he was 8 months old unwanted and the last people did nothing with him he's a bit head strong and very clingy , I'm letting him off after a good walk he's returning to call of come on , and if insight arm movement but still not coming to hand on open ground as yet , but as soon as I turn and walk he follows so I head I to a corner of the field and let him in front then say stay and come hear , should I just keep going as I am , he's good with the ferrets and runs fine , he's nit seen a rabbit yet but may show him some mixy first one night this week , and hope someone eith an older dog will take us out soon , I have heard a few folk say that the saluki in him makes him a bit head strong , atb cheers j

remember to crouch down when calling him back and when he does come back make a big fuss of him, never chase the dog, just thinks its agame.atb

  6. iv got a 11week old hob just now. and im getin a jill tomorrow shes 14weeks old shes a bit of a biter the guy sayd i will get hur out of tht. should i seperate them till i stop the jill from biten. and if i was to put them the gither how long would it take for them stop get used to each other ?

shouldn,t be any problems putting together right away, handle them as much as poss, don,t draw your hand away when she trys to bite,it won,t be painful at that age, only testing like apup would. atb.

  7. Wanker!

I have come across this type before and even supplied a couple I know with two ferrets for pets (yes I know :wallbash: feckin lesson WELL learned), by the time I had rescued the one that was still alive, it had eaten it`s mate and was stuck by the claws to a tennis ball where it had been for a week!!!!.

What a state! made me cry actually!! saved that ferret and it went on to be a nice little beast ,,but I have NEVER since given ferrets to anyone I am not 110% sure about as I could barely live with myself about that one.

    fxxkers should get lifetime ban

your set up is how they should be kept

  8. Wasn't asking about everyone, just yours.

Everyone could bang on about how a bitza is the best, but the question was on hares.

It seems there is alot of Saluki knockers but noone has mentioned a better dog type that will do what the saluki x's do on the fens.

if you look back my original comment was on the video which doesn,t look like the fens to me. i,m just new here and didn,t join this forum to argue about who,s got best dugs, seems like nearly everyone on this site wants to argue and i got drawn in

must be the heat, roll on the winter

don,t course hares, theres a feckin ban :victory:

  9. As Maw baw has disappeared...

Roxy, the ultimate dog what is the best in your opinion?

no such thing, everybody has different idea.if you put time in training your own type of dog its always going to repay you, accept it for what it is,a dugs a dug.
