well took her out lamping last night with my other bitch to let her see her working she seemed keen so after a long serch found a willing rabbit siting well out walked her up to it and sliped her 50 yards game over as she picked it up and proceded to bugger off with it but ill let her off it was her first atb ruby jet

ruby now 8 months old and starting to show some good sighns of turning out nice standing 22 1/2 tts another 1 1/2 would be nice!! what do u think?

That's the sort of dog I will be looking for next. Do you think the 1/8 bull comes through at all in the dogs physical and mental makeup? to be honest with u mate i dont think it comes through enuf think it would be better to find a good half cross dog to put back to a whippet she can hold her own but dose not have the power off the bull but the improved preydrive is there just depends what u want to use them for atb ruby jet The improved prey drive but still good raw speed would be what I'm looking for. Want a mainly rabbiting dog with good take off speed, have smaller grazing

well u come on a site like this mins after u join the forum and put something like that! if u knew anything about "blackwater" then u would not have to as silly questions about blackwater dogs your seting your self up to look a proper !! all the blackwater dogs that ive seen are 120 per cent at what thay do and are some of the best dogs ive seen work !!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can anything be 120%. . . . .? Mines 243 % on all quarry mate see one work and make your own mind up j m o mate!

wow......change the colour and that could be the dog im talking about ....absolute image the litter she came from also had reds aswell as blacks and her father was a 3/4 grey 1/4 pie dog so she has the blood line all be it not alot of pie blood atb

took this bitch on about 6 months ago and was starting to think id made a big mistake she was 18 months old when i got her and had been kenneled up with 3 jrts and i was told she had done this she had done that when realy i dont think she had done anything but i started at the begining with her and spent as much time training her and trying to get her going (sometimes not with much to show for it ) but then all of a sudden the penny droped and she turned into a littel rocket ! im just glad that shes turned out the wright way took her out lamping last night and first slip she missed (my fault
