    I received my Nite-Tek T20 - 3 mode 940Nm yesterday, a quick test on the scope and the power & range are excellent, will light up much further than i'll be shooting the bunnies at. A definite good buy in my book.

    I've discovered a great source for perfect storage/feeder barrels. Get down to your nearest swimming pool, they use Chlorine Tablets for the water, these tablets come in 25kg (sometimes bigger) barrels with quarter turn lids with safety lock tabs. They stack perfectly on top of each other, the bases even have a 2" reinforcing ring in the middle of the bottom which is the perfect size for a spiral. A quick rinse out and there isn't the slightest hint of the chlorine.

    I use a Newton 3x42 monocular (£69.99 from Aldi) with my Deben Maxlite Pro & IR filter, guaranteed up to 300m visible range, with eye shine up to 100m. The monocular on it's own with its inbuilt IR source gives vision up to 100m.

    You're right sako, focus is a pain at times, but I now set the camcorder to manual focus and that solves this issue. On measuring the distances in these 3 rabbit shots they were 35yds, 63yds and 75yds respectively (see video on link) 3 Rabbits Knowing the land I have taken them from further, they didn't appear clear last night, maybe had something to do with the muck that found it's way onto the lens of the camcorder . I was scanning the ground with a NV Monocular that I bought from Aldi for £69.99, it worked well on it's own up to -100m but when used along with the Deben Tracer Pro Max w

    It's a DCR DVD306, but to be honest you'd be better with one that records direct to a hard drive/memory card - this one records to mini-dvd's which makes it a tad big..

    My existing camcorder has Sony Night Shot, so with an IR Filter on my Deben Tracer Max Pro light I now have the means to do some Night Vision Taking things a little further - I've mounted it onto my .22RF First - needed to adapt the camcorder to sit on my scope. My scope is a Zeiss 6x42, I selected a plastic waste pipe to slide over the scope, a step up ring connects the pipe to the camera. Second - Fit the camcorder, complete with step-up ring and pipe, onto the scope. Finally - Adjust the position of the camcorder to allow the image to be central and in focus. With

    I should be going to Drumochter for some Grouse Pointing Training with the dogs this Sunday, but I doubt the snow will have shifted by then. I take it there will be plenty hanging around at the moment.

    I too have been pursuing the Night Vision Option - opting for the affordable route. Existing Camcorder with Night Vision, adapted to be used with my Deben lamp (i decided to pay the £17 and get the fitted filter from Deben, arrived the day after it was ordered) But I picked up on info through google which showed the camcorder being fixed to teh scope....so did that too. The results are good as far as visibility goes, but holding the rifle with the camcorder added to the scope isn't easy (need to lengthen the stock/push the scope forward/practice more with modified set-up) I've attached

    Hello all, I'm from the Highlands and have joined the hunting way of life only 4 years back, did a lot in my youth but gave it up for the career, but now i've wised up and decided to live a bit - so back to the field. Looking forward to time on teh forum.
