they used to be prominent on the skegness road just off the a17 just before golf course at north kyme, think they was put there by calender lads and they where at top of timberland , we pulled them out whenever we passed, never seen ones longer than 25yards, nowt suprises me what other lurcher lads would do to protect abit of permision, tut tut

if they are going to be working dogs then put them asleep , why waste money at vets or let pups suffer .

ive had bitches who had discharges before and bleed for full pregnancy , one vet said she aborted pups so i kept running her until i noticed loss of muscle so i got a ultra sound which showed pups , so much for that vet. keep eye on her mate then get her ulra sound at 6 weeks .

you will find most kc bred saluki's are interbred in the last 5 years , to many peeps are breeding for money and forgot what damage they are doing to the breed . you will also find alot of bull on here about certain stud dogs ,but there is a odd dog that hasnt been exploited from genuine working lines

i know why they didnt run one but they are essential to what we have and the future of the coursing dog, for the last 20 years the saluki gene pool hasnt changed , but now guys are willing to risk there money to hopefully improve the breed , we cant keep on using the same stuff or not so far down the line we will start getting gentic faults in our dogs. in the late eighties some guys who wrote in shooting times thought it was crazy to even think of using a saluki in a lurcher as they was seen as un trainable but here we are 25yrs later and the saluki is found in most lines of lurcher

didnt alan sankey use a saluki over his bitch ? if i remember correctly it was the brother to TG'S pure that ran in the 97 and 98 forley cup. thats the breed that couldnt turn a winter hare but still managed to knock a few over in final

why did sankey and craig use a pure saluki over there stuff? the saluki is the foundation stone to a coursing dog ? if the guy is willing to bring decent and new blood into the country we should applaud him not knock him down.

i admire the guy investing his money and time in bringing a dog over here because there isnt many people who would do that, i do hope it works out and in the future it contributes to the working breed.
