Archer add-on (D grade )
shootingcharley replied to shootingcharley's topic in Night Vision & Thermal
The Archer add-on (D grade )is around £1650 personally i would bother with one at these prices you would be better off with an envis gen 3 you will be able to shoot at longer rangers and have a much clearer view of your quarry and save yourself around £150 which could be sent on an ir laser N1000 or a DSA which are around £140. Some people will sear by them but until you have put one side by side to other units like the envis you will know what i mean. I have herd a lot about the envis gen 3 unit but no one can or will tell me were to get one ? if you can help it would be ve -

Bullet Jump Help
shootingcharley replied to shootingcharley's topic in Reloading and Gun Maintenance
With a bullet falling out of the case before the ogive touches the lands when using an AOL gauge, the way around it is to hold the fifle pointing upwards vertically push slider until bullet touches lands - lock off, then measure the bullet from base to ogive then add this figure to the amount the plastic rod on the gauge is protruding from the neck - this will give you your distance from the lands If you are already shooting with an accurate load, then measure what the ogive is on your chasen distance and then deduct this figure from the known distance from the lands to tell you how far ba -
Bullet Jump Help

Yes it's true I have spent a lot of time on case pep I feel it is as important as the powder you use, as is the cleaning of the barrel, in fact it is a combination of all these things as you well know, it can be frustrating at times but if and when you get it right it is also very rewarding. Bullet Jump Help
shootingcharley replied to shootingcharley's topic in Reloading and Gun Maintenance
Hi mate the maxmum bullet i use is 40 grian and that is the same. -
Just wondering if anyone has had this problem and how did they solve it? I have a Ruger Target Varmint in .204 it appears that it has a built in bullet jump? as when i put the OAL gage in and push the bullet in to get a setting the bullet just falls out of the end of the case it will not reach the lands ??, Has anyone had this and how did they get round it.
