depends on the height width ect but my 200 ltr is a meter long by 18 inches high by 18 inches wide .
as for sharks silver sharks are nice fish red fined black sharks as well ..but you will be limited to what else you can keep with them ..
if you go to tropical fish forums uk ..its the best out there for advice .
-
I ve read that discus etc can be quite fragile maybe looking at getting some sort of shark if possible ?
with discus its more about keeping the water than the fish ...
gnasher off here has/had some i remember him putting some pics up ..
as for sharks only the small types would do for a tropical setup as in red fined blacks but they are very territorial ..

what size of tank to start with, I was thinking a 3 or 4 foot tank and also what type of fish to keep, looking for pretty low maintenance to be honest not wanting ant breeds that are too fragile etc
tbh the bigger the better a bigger tank is easier to keep more stable than a smaller tank as for fish anything from platies to guppys are easy to keep and have some great colours too ....but the best advice is dont rush it ..thats my 200 ltr .

Is there any need? Who does all these different types of hunting? Who has time?
i dont now but i had plenty of time when i was younger ...and yes did a bit of everything more of one thing than most but still managed a bit of this and that .

Back before the ban my opinion on a alrounder is a dog that would work with the ferrets, work on the lamp catch the odd daytime hare ( night time too ) retrieve shot game birds ect even in water and if the chance came along deer too also a guard dog in the home and out when things got a bit hot ..an old type poachers dog if you like ...and work fox day and night also with the terriers .does a dog exist ? who knows the closest i have had would do all of the above not in big numbers but he did and was seen many times doing it .

I've got an 18 month old bitch here. Sire was deer/grey x collie/grey and dam was deer/whippet/grey.
She is very slow maturing and even now is like a 6 week old puppy.
She's only been on the lamp 9 times and has bagged 56 rabbits. Also retrieved a few shot hares. So she's doing okay. But "slow to mature" is an understatement.
mine was the complete opposite started very young and took everything in his stride ..tbh i was young myself and i wonder now how i didnt ruin the dog .
