I was brought up in a town that at one time was the biggest ship building town in the world, over 400 registered shipbuilders in its history.
Quite something to see in those days the huge ships been built , something for the country to be proud of

Out with Borr and SeanC off here for a day yesterday, fished on speci lake at rhe THL comp venue.. target perch..
Chopped worm, maggot, caster and prawns.. I fished match style, Sean set up "proper perch" gear and Joe had a go at drop shotting..it was a bit too coloured for the drop shotting to work, but we had a decent day on baits, Sean had a couple of decent carp over 10lb, I lost a few (f***ing things! Lol).. but had a good few bream, a couple of nice crucians and a half decent tench...plus one cracking roach around 1.5lb... the perch didn't come until it was pretty much dark.. Sean had a nice one just over 2lb and I had a small one about 12oz.. really nice day though, great company and loads of piss taking as always! Lol
Some good pictures NK , taken on a phone?

Just two miles from me mate. I don't go any where I've no permission they been on some fields I have permission on. Was working a field the other day I could see holes that were not mine. Trouble is they f**k it up for people that do it right.
Cheers Arry
Noticed a huge rise in night hawking when they started organising group digs around here

There’s a drama series on Channel 5 this year called Finders Keepers about two detectorists who find a valuable Anglo Saxon hoard and don’t report it.
I am looking into upgrading my old sovereign.
Treasure hunting on the rise as number of finds reaches record high
NEWS.SKY.COM
There were 1,378 treasure finds in England, Wales and Northern Ireland in 2022, according to provisional figures...What are you thinking about upgrading to Mack ? Sovs where top detectors in there day just had a slow recovery speed
Xp seem to do decent detectors , mates got one and seems to do well with it
Im still using an explorer se which is ok but heavy , might see about upgrading to an equinox in the future
