  1. i acctualy got given the ferrets of someone on the rabbiters forum and was tld they had been taken out of seasonby what they thaught was a vacectomised hob and turned out the vet had not done the job right so now i have a little of unplanned kits. So please do not judge me and jump to conclusions befor you know the story behind it. Tom

  6. thanks for evryones advise on this i think i will give them there main meal the night befor then a light mean of rabbit in the morning a hour or so befor i go out. Sorry about all the questions as this is my first time keeping ferrets. one of my ferrets has now just had 6 kits a few days ago but the sexes are not yet known due to not wanting to disturb the mother. So if anyone would like some ferret kits in the nest 6-8 weeks and live in the cornwall area then drop me a pm. they are all free to good homes. Tom

  9. get a BSA lightning xl in .22 mate you cant been then for a first gun they r fairly accurate too and not to badley priced. Tom

  13. i have rather large hutch i suppose big enough for ferets but to start with i want to limit myself to 3. If i have the 1 hob and 2 jills even tho the hob will be done wil he still have to be separated from the jills atall? many thanks Tom
  14. hello can anoybody help i am getting some ferrets soona as you know from my previous posts but i was wondering what is the best combination would be. i have a hutch sutable for 3 ferrets with lots of space to spare. i was thinking mayby a done hob and 2 jills. what do you think? any help would be apreciated.   16. hello i am new to dog training. I am currentley trying to train my 11 month old ESS bitch she is comming on well but i think when she was young i over treated her now after the retreeve she drops the dummy on my feet ans sits for a treat. I would like her to sit and hold the dummy entill i take it from her. How do i go about training her for this? any tips or ways hat worked for you are most welcome. Many thanks Tom
  17. hello i am not an exspert but i have made a few nets with sliders on. I too use fence wire i made the jig by using 2 bolts in a peice of wood then bending the wire round then to form the slider. Hope this helps Tom
  18. thankyou very much for evryones help there appears to be some very knowledgeable people on this forum. I was thinking about getting 2 jills and a hob, then get the hob done. is this a wise move will there be any trouble if they are kept together? Also is there anywear i can get hold of a ferret box as i have been told there are better than the bags. Many thanks Tom
  19. After going ferreting with a friend and his 2 hobs iv caught the bug. I am going to get some ferrets now for next season but befor i do i want to get clued up on evrything. i know about the hutch as i have allready baught one that was recomended to me by a local pet shop. When buying a ferret is there anything to look out for that will make it a good worker or is there anything i should be doing when i have got the ferret home eg drainage pipes e.t.c. also is there a anything elce i need for ferreting apart from the ferrets a box, ferret finder, purce nets and a spade. Hello there Just introducing my self to you all My name is tom i have 2 new ferrets only a few months old ready fr the next season i also have a bsa scorion air rifle and i have just applied for mt shooty licence i also have a 11 month old springer spaniel bitch called jade.
