  1. Hi all, managed to talk the wife-e-person into letting me get a pcp so I am now the proud owner of a AA s410 I know there are a few of you guys on here that use this gun so some feedback would be good!! Can't wait to use it and see what it will do
  2. Welcome to the furom mate, love the avatar and the name
  3. I aint know expert by far but it looks very simular to the one I have on my hw90.
  4. Thanks for the replys guys, my hw90 has a silencer and is alot quieter than the Cometa which seems to be all spring noise!! Its a nice light Rifle compaired to the Weihrauch but the noise is putting me off it a bit perhaps it will float me boat when I get a kill with and find out what it will do. Either that or I could be trading them both in for a pcp But then is it worth spending ex amount on a silencer, especially trying to get one in Cornwall!!!!
  5. Hi all, I have recently picked up a cheap (new) Cometa 400 and seems to very noisy compared to my Theoben Weihrauch, the question is! Is it worth putting a silencer on it?
  6. Hi all I'm looking for a webley silencer, anyone got one out there they want to sell??? Thanks.
  7. There ain't many fish that don't like worm
  8. Thanks for the replys, I have justed picked up a Cometa 400 177 new but ex display cheap!! don't know if its a good move or know!!! lol Has got afew dinks on the stock but fires very well
  9. Hi everyone, I am looking for a lightweight 177 for stalking around the £200 mark(second hand or new). I know there are a lot on the market so some advice and feedback would be greatly recieved. Thanks Plink.
  10. If you shell them and thread them onto a baiting needle or knitting needle then bait elastic them on so it becomes like a sausage(bit of a messy job lol)I do this over a litter tray (unused) and tip the juice into an old plastic milk bottle and freeze that aswell(Great for Mullet mix with some bread) you can make the suasages as big or small as you like and then freeze them, I have used them a lot for bulking out all types of bait, nice through the winter for Flounder above some Rag/Lugg/Maddies or even Peeler. Hope this helps
  11. you don't want to 'hit' a rabbit a 40/50 yards, you want to kill it cleanly I know what you are saying aaron and I should have worded it differantly
  12. Well once again lost of questions As for some of you I think the apropriate advice is and I bet you hve a copy of Brighteyes in your CD rack lol if knew the thread was going to get like this I would have put more juicy detial in it!!! I live in cornwall where as far as I know there is not many shooting clubs and if there was I wouldn't be intrested  espsecially if it consisted in wasting time on a 20p size targets. I practice in my back garden hitting a 50p size target at 30ish yards in a standing position, thats good enough for me, if I hit a Rabbit in 0 degrees after walking over
  13. I'm by far no expert but I suppose its the risk involved with hunting. There must be many factors that could cause a shot to miss even if you are the best shot in the world. At the end of the day you are firing a weapon at an animal and theres is a risk of wounding. Its the same with foul hooking in fishing. Its not nice but it sometimes happens. Thats a shame about the yew Christian. Was there nothing Phil could do? Naa mate, it had a calcium injection before Phil went fishing, its got alot to do with the warm days and cold nights we are getting the mo.
  14. Cheers Adam The Ewe didn't make it, just the eyes pecked this morning, poor bugger was in Lamb too. Hmmm well how do I answer all these points, I can see some fun conversations going on on this Forum. First Rabbit kill at night, used to shoot anything that moved!! And then Women, Bikes, Cars and kids came along!!! Found the pellet just behind the front leg and a couple of ribs all caved in, was it a good shot I geuss so but I'm sure I will find out in the next few posts lol As for putting 10 pellets in a twenty pence piece, maybe at Ten yds And from standing that is some achiev
  15. Thanks for all your replys, I could answer them all in seperate ways but I think it would just cause an argument!!! I have had Airguns up until I was 18 years old so I'm not really a newbie to killing things and know how it works, I used to shot 6inch nails off a wall with an open site hw30 so at aguess it won't take me long to get my eye in again. I know what a you are thinking if the Rabbit runs 40yds into a hedge it will go to waste, there are several Foxes, Buzzards and Dogs on the farm which don't pester the Sheep even in lambing season (which is now) It is a 250 acre farm with the small
  16. Hi folks, I've icthing and trying my best over the past couple of weeks to get my first KILL, mainly on the cagey Woodys!! Have had a Ledray GL2 in the box for a over a month now so thought it was time to stick it on me hw90 and have a go at the Bunnys. So phoned me mate (Qeequeg) and he got to my place for 8.30pm, First hour was pretty slow with me choughing like a good'un!!( Bloody cold) Seen a couple but didn't get in close enough to take a shot, as we walked back to the truck I said to Adam(Quequeg) to leave the guns loaded as we may see some on the way out of the lane. And we did had a po
  17. Had the same sort of problem lads Pigeons, Rabbits, Magpies, Rooks and even Three Roe Deer which I stopped and watched for about 10 minutes, so at least I know me Camo outfit works And its certianly better than dishes!!!
  18. Duno if I'm going to regret this being a newbie!! But as For the CR-V's I have had one for 6 months and think its ideal for running around fields in and have never got into trouble through the winter months, I also pull a 14ft Dory, 40hp outboard and all our fishing gear off the Beach/Slips without any problems (so far!!) The clearance on them isn't that great and it is a bit thirsty being as they perminant 4x4 (2.0 petrol), going to go down the gas conversion route which should double mpg. Cheers Plink.
  19. Yeh good thanks mate just icthing to kill something as you are The Dinosaur is a Doheruphersaurus Any more abuse from the mrs? lol Na she got her head in her laptop
  20. Thanks mate, its a pokey gun has no problem going clean through a Yellow Pages at 25 paces!! I assume this is a good thing?
  21. Yeh good thanks mate just icthing to kill something as you are The Dinosaur is a Doheruphersaurus
  22. Hi all been looking at the forum and it seems to be full of knowledge, I have recently acquired a Weihrauch Theoban hw90. I have loads of questions going round in my head as I've not hard an Air gun since I was 17 which was a hw30ish if I remember rightly and a bsa meteor which were used for popping off Starlings and anything else that flew into range!!! I have permission to shoot on a friends farm which is about 100 acres at a guess Pigeons and Rabbits will the targets hopefully so some advice and feedback (Including the Gun) would be great. I won't bore you anymore lol
