    I ate far too much yesterday so not going mad today. Just a light breaky for me. Sausage, bacon, black pudding, oatcakes and chayse...

    I was talking to someone here who said he knew a guy who would take up to 1000 birds off one of the estates, IF true that is some serious cash!

    That's not poaching. That's being a prick.

    Honestly I didn't think that sort of thing ever happened....naive? Yes probably!

    No need to do it. It's just for spite. As said pheasants are ten a penny when the shooting starts.

    About 6 years ago , nearly to the day, I was attached to a company

    Of infantry in nad e Ali south

     

    I was outside the fob working along when my radio crackled saying to come inside

     

    A taliban shura was about to get hell fired down the road

     

    These particular gang had shot a few of our mates and comfardes over the last few

    Weeks and the middle went off

     

    As they are prone to do they brought their wounded to our loacation, what greeted us outside the gates will stay with me till the end of my days. The seargent major asked me to go lead the hls party. I set it up and came inside to help stretcher in injured enemy onto the chinook inbound. These people were in tatters , as a hellfire strike is prone to do, but and this is a big but

     

    Not once did I see or hear a single threat or action to off these mortally wounded men , no sncos pulled out pistols or larger it in front of the camera, in fact if a camera had been produced, it would have had resulted in a large slap

    Round the ear. All of the injured made it alive into the air..some were doa at bastion but that's by the by

     

    All I saw was professional soldiers doing soldierly things in an appropriate and correct manner

     

    Men being a credit to their unit, their families and themselves

     

    None of them are in jail

     

    Strange that eh?

    Canny argue wi that. You've been there and done it and after reading that it has changed my mind a bit. If that's the rules that most soldiers follow then fair doos. I can accept that.

    We should also announce to the world that any armed force we may be involved in a conflict against in the future has carte Blanche to murder our wounded prisoners !

    Honestly.....I think that's laughable. I can see the story now...."oh my friend was caught by the people he was trying 'to kill'...they caught him and killed him.

    My response "yip...that'll happen to you if your at war!!"

    I can't get my head around, whether it's bombing from miles away or close combat that suddenly when you stick your hands in the air then you've to be spared. Don't be so f***ing stupid. Must happen all the time in conflict situations.

    Has anybody seen the footage? The newspaper pictures didn't look all too authentic to me......

    Of the shooting? It was up yesterday but looks like its been pulled from YouTube today ...it was authentic alright :thumbs:
    Yeah the pictures looked fishy to me but I suppose it's real then.

     

    I've just watched the video, still looks dodgy to me.

    I'm kinda in the same boat here. It does look kind of staged. Can't quite put my finger on it.

    Maybe because it was staged, not the killing but all the cameras would of been setup plus lighting for a interview so it would of looked like a film, then it filmed a killing and it looked too good to be true ?

    Yip I agree....probably used too grainy footage caught on camera phones. This time if was caught by a proper film crew.

    Lab he's paid to score goals

    He's prob the 5-6 highest scoring Premier league striker ever.

    And that's after wasting two seasons in Canada.

    He's been at a struggling club for two seasons where the service he is getting ain't no where near the strikers of Chelsea ' City ' Spurs ' Liverpool ' United ect and he's still banging them in .

    It's difficult to argue with a fan off another club as I don't see much off him mate, I'm only saying what I see.

    If he was a star striker and all round good team player no manager could turn him away. He certainly doesn't come across as an arrogant little arse hole so I've no idea why managers have let him slip the net.

    Anyway I hope he bangs the goals in for ye.....maybe pass a wee bit more often though eh..??

    I reckon Defoe hasn't been an England star is because he is a greedy little b*****d. No doubt he will score a few goals but he would cause he never passes.

    Sorry but you can't go on about how good a goal scorer he is and be doing shite. I'd be interested in how many chances, break down of play happen at Sunderland because Defoe is hitting it from everywhere.

    I'm partial to the odd can of Stella or red stripe!

    But I'd rather a G&T these days as don't really drink and beer makes me fat as f**k.

    Beer just makes me fart nowadays it never use to... If I been drinking beer I can guarantee when I wake in the morning the Mrs will be in the spare room.

    Jesus.....must have some power behind them.
