    I was out hunting last night with my Tikka Super Varmint and Nightforce NXS 5.5-22 X 56, I am new to centerfire and after seeing the guy on You-Tube with his incredibly long range hunting shots (1800yds) I decided against the Swaro or Zeis scope and went for the nightfoce instead. Am I glad I did. I made a drop chart guide in 10m increments and purchased a Nikon 1200 rangefinder to help me range targets accurately and I was away. The first thing I did was zero the rifle and with Norma 75grain Vmax tipped shells I managed to get 100yd 1" groups. I zero'd my turrets and found a quiet spo

    I got my FAC ticket delivered yesterday. I requested; .22 Close range vermin.(Up to 80yds) .17hmr Long range vermin control.(Over yds) .243 fox and deer control. I got all 3 first attempt, NP.

    Hiya Guys, I have received the good news today that I have been passed for my FAC and I am in the market for a .22lr, a .17HMR and a .243. The guns will be used on a regular basis on my local farm and my quarry are rabbits, pigeons, crows, rooks, magpies, foxes and muntjac. I have over 200 acres to hunt and need some advice on guns selections. I have £3000 to spend on all 3 including scopes and mods. So what rifles would you recommend ??? I have been looking at; .22CZ American Varmint in Walnut. .17HMR Synthetic Sako Quad. .243 Tikka T3 Lite Varmint.(Synthetic).

    Guys, I have been doing a bit of digging around and found these, they are for sale in the USA already and they are about £600 but appear to the same sort of thing as Geovids without the £1600 price tag....     Hiya Guys, I could do with a little guidance from you guys please, I am looking at getting some binoculars and a range finder to help me accurately assess ranges when stalking. I am looking currently looking at Swarovski, zeis, leica and leupold, and I am not sure which one to go for, In addition I am also looking to get a range finder and am interested in the Leica Geovids which offer top notch binos with a range finder built in. I am not sure whether the Leicas would be a good buy or whether I would do better buying separate binos and range finder. Can you offer your opinion

    Why would you not go for the varmint barrel, I have used the heavier barrel a lot and I find the heavier barrel helps keep the gun steady on long range shots. Why would you not choose the varmint barrel?

    Guys, I am really grateful for all your suggestions, I think I am coming down on the side of the CZ or Sako. I would go for the Anschutz if it had a model in synthetic but unfortunately they dont seem to do a synthetic model. Oh Well. I am going to go to a large gun shop and handle as many as possible to make the final decision.

    Hiya Guys, I am after my first .17hmr rifle and after looking around I am totally confused, so I thought I would do a post on here and ask you guys with more knowledge for a little advice. The rifle must be in .17hmr and the rest of the criteria the rifle should match are as below. 1. Synthetic Stock. 2. Varmint/Heavy Barrel. 3. Good reputation for accuracy. 4. Stainless Steel Barrel if possible. 5. Carbine if possible. 6. At least 4 shot with magazine. I will spend up to £1000 for the right gun with scope and sound mod, so what do you think I should get???     Hiya Guys, I need a pair of binoculars and I have a budget of upto £200. I have been looking at various websites and I am at a loss. Please can you help. I will use the binoculars for stalking foxes and rabbits on the local farm at ranges up to 300m at dawn/dusk so good light gathering and range are important. Can you give me some advice on suitable binoculars. I have been looking at these below, are they any good.     Hiya Guys, Can anyone here recommend somewhere in the UK, Europe or elsewhere in the world where I can go hunting wild boar. I do not want to go on a canned hunt where it is set up and you get to execute a pig at close range, I would like to go on a real hunt in real woodlands aty a reasonable cost. Any Ideas ???

    Hiya Guys, I am new to fox hunting and could do with a bit of advice on the best fox calls to use. I have read a lot about different calls but I think its always best to get information from people that do it first hand and not from a guy trying to sell a product and make money. Obviously it will always be best to have a variety with you just incase the fox is used to the one that you are using, but can you recommend some good ones that you have used with success in the past. Also, are electronic calls any good, if so can you recommend one? Thanks guys.
