  10. funny you say that, ive got a pup 3/8 bull5/8 grey 5 months old. And it (not) intersted in retreving, ive stopped retreive training with it.As all you are doing is teaching not respond whats been given.? Ive had lurchers 25 years, and sometimes you do get dogs+pups that (dont) want to do it, and there feck all you can do to make'um. My last bullx 1/4 bull 3/4 grey, he would bring back. Started to drop short with rabbits, after is 3 season up to then every thing was brought right to me.My colliexs have all retrieved brill for about 4 seasons, and they start to drop short a bit.     what sort of bond do you have with her , apart from patting her what sort of contact do you have with her, has she ever retrieved, a lot of questions asked on here dont have a simple answer,every case is different, seems to be sort of block between you's,,she doesn't sound like a high drive bitch,,what age did you get her at and was she well socialised,,i've always used play as a relationship builder between me and the mutt, but if she dont have much drive it might take a while to kick in,,i would encourage more contact between you and her on a daily basis,also try feeding some of her grub by

  18. im after some advice lads iv got a 5/8 3/8 bull greyhound she his just 8 months old but she will not retrieve. she brings rabbits back about 10 yards off you then when you go near her she goes further away iv done all the basic stuff like walking away .food in the pockets, all that plus she will not chase balls so we can practice any retrieves or rabbits skins cheers any advice would be helpful

  20. i`ve got a lurcher pup about the same age and i`ve just started training him to retrieve. What i do is get his attention with a squeaky toy so that he wants it, then drop it in front of him and when he picks it up i click my clicker or praise him and reward. then after a while only praise him when he brings it up to your hand, its best to start crouched down, then when hes doing this every time start to throw it a little distance and you mite want to put a long lead on him to make sure he comes back. I do this 5 mins then hide the toy from him 5 mins on the morning then 5 mins at night. Start
