My bitch has took her back nail right off down to skin. Should I just leave it and it will grow back or trip to the vets needed ? Plenty of trips to the beach may help . Any of advice would be helpful ?

Went for quick shine last night plenty of rabbits about my bitch ran well we managed 12 out of 13 runs she 17 months old 5/8 3/8 bull cross until she took her front nail right off so that ended the night early but was pleased with the way she ran . still not retrieving to hand throu getting better she will bring them back to about 5 yards off you .does your head in lol

Your best bet would have been to stay and train her when & where it happen (if possible) Now......On the lead walk right up to the sheep, get them running so they catch the dogs eye, then every time she looks at them, lose your rag with her...don't mean beating the shit out of her, i pinned Khan to the ground screaming in his face ragging him when he caught one. Me angry scared him more than a kicking ever would. Too much beating can make a dog too scared to come back to you if it even 'thinks' you might be angry, and you will need to be able to recall it!
