    NOW SOLD Bought my lad a brand new BSA Lightning....after using it a couple of times he pulled the trigger while half cocked...& slam bent the barrel & split the stock at the pistol grip! As you can imagine I wasn't happy!! Anyone want to make me an offer? NBF Dorset

    A few years back I was given written permission by a relative to shoot rabbits on the land he leases from the MOD. Just for the record this land is agricultural. However the MOD Range Officer / Warden now claims that he had no right to grant me permission & also that it was MOD policy that civilians were not allowed to shoot on any MOD land. I've recently contacted Natural England & explained the situation..... Natural England confirmed that as occupier of the land he did have the authority to grant me permission......I guess based on the 1880 Ground Game act, etc.... However th

    I shoot both o/u & s/s. Both fit me nice...........however I seem to hit more with the o/u... but I think this is mainly down to the fact that I feel really at home with the o/u.......I've fired a variety of shotguns & rifles & some have never suited me for whatever reason. If you aren't 100% comfy & happy with something then the results won't be 100% either. I'm not sure if others will agree but sometimes you just get that feel for a gun when you pick it up...........go shopping......see how they feel....then go with what you are happy / comfy with.     Hi, My cabinet is full.......but my father in law is in the market for a couple of shotguns..... He's just got his SGC & is keen to get shooting He's looking for either a s/s or o/u 12g sub £200 & a .410 single sub £100. Or if someone out there wants to sell me their .410 Hushpower I can sell him my .410!! So if you are thinking of selling your Hushpower in either .410 or 20g let me know...cash waiting. Regards NBF

    I would never have belived that a castrated ferret could bring a Jill out of season ........until mine did & has done for the last two years. I have three males, two castrated & one failed vasactomised hob that live in a court with four jills. Following a vasactomy my lads balls shrivelled away to zero.......& bang went my plan! Jill jabs I thought...................but then I noticed my big albino boy had an interest in the jills when they were starting to come into season.......but he has no balls, so why? It looked like the usual courtship....grab the neck & drag around

    Fibreglass poles are good & a must if the ground is hard I got mine from magnum traps...not free like hazel sticks but worth every penny.

    I've bought & sold a couple of items via this site....normally face 2 face & to date with no problems.....in fact bought something only this week...& yes it arrived safe & sound..... there are honest members out there But in all honesty I am a face to face deal person, that way you can't be caught out by a sellers description If doing a deal via post my rule is never send more money than I am prepared to loose Hope that helps

    Fair play Ebay or Bridport nets. DON'T get the 4oz nets as they tangle too easily . Go for 6oz.... or thicker if there are brambles around the holes.

    Good idea asking about the usable distance for both types of firearms but I suggest that initially you stick to distances that are well within your ability & then work out as you get more comfortable & accurate with the rifles. I use both types of rifles mentioned but rarely shoot to the maximum of the guns ability....my ability is the weak link!! FAC air rifle running at 32....for ME a max of 50 yards..the gun maybe a further 15 yards or so.....but pellet trajectory is a problem. I take most of my rabbits with this weapon at 30 yards or so..I just like to hit them hard

They have been hanging around for some time as the price on the box is £10.95! ...plus the brass has discoloured a little. £35 for the lot or can split......Or make me an offer.......or do a swap for .223 ammo or 12g cartridges or pigeon decoys.....
