I normally hardwire but this time I couldn't be arsed so I just taped up the areas where I think cables would twist and break...
Nice.

I'd be interested in a step by step dummies guide Bob.
I`ll put one together then. I`ll stick in diy or somewhere similar.

Yeah Ive read some lads have hard wired them. Like I said, mines is virtually brand new, I didnt want to go chopping too many bits and fuses off as I didnt want it to melt in my hand Is yours the a new variable, with 2 buttons instead of a twisty knob?
-
Anyone done one recently? Ive just done the flex and the connections at the minute, they seemed to be everyones biggest issues, With them two done, is there anything else is should do whilst its in bits?
Its brand new lamp so apart from the dodgy cigar connection cutting out there no other problems. And its starting to look complicated, with a small circuit board and what seems like a sealed unit for the brightness control buttons. Everything looks solid and cant be pulled loose so I`ll probably leave it at that.
I read about bulbs blowing, now is that because everyone has cut the cigar connection off and thus removing the inline fuse?
I bought all the stuff from maplins off the shelf for approx £11.70 and If any one is interested I could do a basic picture tutorial? Before I put it back together.

Were full...now naff off
Aint that the truth. Went for a walk the other night to check a place out on the southdowns and although it was dark it was only 8pm and I saw lamps in most of the fields below us. I think I`ll give it a swerve.

I live in Hampshire. Pretty much all thats been said is true. The people are shite too, your lucky to get a thank you if you stop for oncoming traffic, be it on the road or in asda... Their sense of humour is pretty dull too.
To be honest Jai, your lot in Wales sounds pretty idyllic, so the money better be good if your heading south.

They were handy to locate the owner of a 2 dogs which attacked mine in the dark. Just remember, your not the only one who can see them.

Imagine you had a 5 yr old kid walking with you Bob. And 1 of them dogs accidentally grabbed the kid. It's a different kettle of fish then. That idiot has got 2 big powerful dogs totally out of control.
Nah defo meth. Meth before the local. Then the metacam and other bits and pieces. I asked and he confirmed "Iz ok, she jus feel little stoned for while"Maybe metacam mate surely not methadone lol..
You've got to give her a chance to stick to her word..
It'll be a hassle, if she renages on the deal..
Yeah I said that to her or a old dear and a little yorkie would have been done for.
Did she call them little rascals like the wifey who's dogs went for one of mine? What gets me is they think by not moving their arses and shouting the dog from a great distance, when it does eventually come back, they think that they had control of the dog and that its obedient..... Move your fat arse Ffs!!!!
Hope pup ok and it doesn't have a negative effect with other dogs.
Yeah sounds about right, whilst all the time going on about he`s not usually aggressive to people or dogs... My mate took my dog back to my car cos I had to follow her to her car and the rotti`s still growling, and I goes "See it is aggressive" She goes "No, thats just his er, just his.." What, his fukcing friendly bitey growl FFS.
The dog is fine now the methadone has wore off Thanks lads...

She was one of them ceaser wanna be`s, bumbag the works. So I want to explain the error of her ways through the power of money. My bitch is insured too so there was always help if I needed it.
I just want some sound advice regarding getting the money before I do my nut friday.
Pez paid, he`s such a diamond, he told me to mention it doesnt have to be paid all in one go, but f**k that, I want it squared soon as.

Anyone got any experience in getting your vet bills paid when your dogs on a short lead has been attacked and injured by some one else`s loose dogs?
Story tonight, is that some fat fukc androgynous cnuts rotti and shepard have not long ago set to my sapling on short lead. It was dark and I could see the lights on their collars coming closer so I put my bitch on a lead. It kicked off and the other 2 dogs totally ignored the shim`s calls and as soon as my bitch started screaming I picked her up and gave the other 2 a fair few good boots, then she beat the rotti with the lead. After we calmed the situation I then abused her, I checked my bitch to find a not very deep round tear about the size of a 50p,hopefully nothing more than superficial on the top of her outer thigh/hip area. So I told her I was following her home to get her details and they were paying. Full stop.
The out of hours cost was unreal. £328.50 for a few stitches and a few jabs... So Ive rang her to let her know as she mentioned not getting paid friday. My Pal stepped up and paid so I want to make sure this dough comes back, preferably in one go, after all we stumped it up.
So,What would you do? where would you go from here. I`m thinking wait till friday for starters as Ive got her name?, reg, address and phone number... Elmo ffs.
Dogs a smack head now too, she got a dose of methadone for the pain off the vet

Hey All... Ive noticed a lump about the size of a marrow fat pea on my best jill, which I presume is a abscess as it looks like it was either caused by a tick and has burst but not enough to drain fully as it has a little dot type scab in the middle. Question is do I lance it with a hypodermic needle or let it go the distance or get raped at the vet?

Ive read it. I thought it was ok, but I like reading and have learnt to take most things with a pinch of salt, truth or lie, its in our nature to embellish a little. Its just that some people start believing their own stories.

I would say cut/split mate. Its the same stuff, just chopped up, so it should be easier for the smaller birds to deal with as Ive seen some maize that would fill a banty after 3 kernels.

This is slowly moving fellas. Ready for a coat of paint now. I have a large tub of BnQ shed/fence paint, is that ok to use all over inside and out or do have to use something specific and ferret friendly? Think this was asked recently on another thread but I cant seem to find it.
If its water based and you wait till its 100% dry it`ll be fine. Ive never had any problems.

Yeah... Probably not advisable with a broken ankle. But your right, you probably would do a better job. We`ve had some shocking repairs done here, things I know I could have done better, but I think fukc it, we pay a shitload in rent, let them fix it...

Have a crack at it, you`ll only lose a score if you mess up assuming you won`t then try the other 6 ... And if it goes to plan, you`ll save yourself a few quid.
I had a "door off" at mine, one pal was a chippy and the other was a shop fitter then there was me... Have a guess who`s door was the best
Make sure you got the right size doors, cos if you buy too big, intending to cut and plane them down you will probably cut the baton`s out the edges of the door trying to make it fit, then it is muffed.

Slide it on your flex and add a cable tie about 25mm after your stripped back wires. Re attache new flex and reassemble. That`s the hardest bit done.
