Yes mad really, just went with my daughter to go and look at the pups because she wanted my view on them before she put the money down. I took one look at the bitch and said you don't want that one do you? to which she replied with a smirk on her face, your a sucker for punishment, I saw your eye roving all over it . Anyway she said I dont want a bitch I want a dog. So I said in that case go for the big bindle brute . Two weeks later we were back to collect them and glad we did, they are a pair of crackers and the people we bought them off were fantastic as well, lovely dog people with ye -

She was the only one that lived out of the litter who have the ridge. 2 others died out of a litter of 7 I believe. So 3 with a ridge 4 without. -

Yeah she's lovely, real strong. I got 3 Saluki x Greys as well (fast racey types) but she is going to be something different altogether, shes already 22" TTS and 20 kilo. The both parents come from a long line of workers with a 30 year history. Dam was an F1 Rhodesian Ridgeback, sire was a deer/grey with a 16th Bull from way back. The last litter from these parents all got above 27TTS and over 40 kilo - so proper monsters . My daughter has a full brother to my bitch its brindle, a bit leggier with no ridge, but a nice dog all the same. -
got an appetite of an horse

Teaching a dog to jump...or not?
ihatealiens replied to DeerhoundLurcherMan's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
don't do nowt with him until he's 12 months old, certainly not jumping. -
Just went on Lurcher link and found this thread. I think Wellingborough is around the Northampton area. Anyway some Gypsy took 3 dogs into wellidogs there and said he found them http://www.lurcherlink.org/llink/forum/viewtopic.php?t=65177 heres the link to the wellidog website - http://www.wellidog.co.uk/index.htm. Hope this helps someone find a missing dog

I have a 16 week old out of an F1 Rhodesian Ridgeback x Deerhound / Greyhound. The owner of the parents had a 30 year history of both parents families and both are great working lines with pictures going back for the 30 years of the bags they have all caught (all quarry). A fabulous history and can't wait to get going with her but I will have to be patient as I won't be doing a tap with her until she is at least 12 months old. She really is blossoming and is 18 kilos already - gonna be a monster.

what age do you start a pup off??
ihatealiens replied to lamping_dave's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Personally I dont do a tap with mine until 12 months sometimes later. Mind you all my dogs are big brutes so they need time to mature. Not so sure about the more racey whippety types I would imagine you could start them a little earlier. -
could be anything mate. My son in laws dog had the same problem. Turned out a piece of glass had got in there through his foot and during a simulated coursing event at a game fair he broke down. The glass actualy shattered inside and he had had to have specialist treatment (cost a pretty penny I can tell you), MRI scans the lot to get all the shards out and had the toe removed due to tendon damage. Took him a while to adapt but hes back catching now and turning as good as ever. Gets sore feet when walking on firm ground (roads) so had to order a pair of boots from Canada for him - the thi

Got me a Deerhound/Greyhound/Bull X Rhodesian Ridgeback, 9 weeks old will let u know in a year or so time how good she is. All I know is the last litter from the same pairing produced massive dogs even the runt of the litter turned out to be a 40KG beast -
Barbed wire fence? read the small print carefully.....many of them will not allow you to calim for an illness or ongoing treatment the next year after you have claimed I use petplan and they are 1st class. As for the tw*at who suggested insurance fraud.......thanks....thats the sort of moronic behaviour that gets the premiums put up for the rest of us :censored: I used petplan but recently changed because they doubled my premiums after I made the 2 claims for my dogs in the past year.
