  1. Where abouts in the country are you?? very interested in this smart little dog
  2. Any pics of the sire of her pups mate??
  3. agree with this comment 100%- work hard on pacing him, cos he sure as hell ain't gonna pace himself! I often take stick for my springer's "lack" of enthusiasm. he doesnt hit every bush but he scents everything - and doesnt miss much! nice looking cocker though and i think he may pace himself a bit more with experience
  4. I aquired a young springer dog just before xmas, he is aprox. 2 to 2 and 1/2 and hadnt had an awful lot of work. The poor bugger had been stuck in kennel since june without so much as a walk. He was very nervous but i had heard he had great potential before he went to his previous owner. I decided to take a punt on him ( i was being soft and felt sorry for him ) He has been out every day and his confidemce and happiness grew unbelievably. Came out on a few shoot days at the end of season to build confidence etc and has done well. The only problem i have is discipline and retreiving, I
  5. Was just wondering what peoples thoughts on deerhound crosses are? they don't seem so common anymore
  6. maybe the older lurcher put him in his place, this would explain the being down in the dumps when he still in the garden and ok when he is out, prob growlin to try an hold some sort of place in the pack - just insecure. i would try have him on his own for a bit if it was poss
