i had the same trouble last year with my female . she took her tallon off , i dusted hit in pottasium crystals then layer after layer of new skin , i give her talon a coat every few hours and had her back out after a week , so what i thought was the end of her season was saved by the new skin , she never liked dogs either she had hold of a boarder and a yorkie , i had to get rid of her this year as i didnt want any big vet bills , good luck wi yours

well what a start to my season . went out yesterday with a couple of mates and there fhh , got up in the morning to get stella ready , weighed her she was spot on 2,4 . met up with the lads and let the birds go in the wood , this was 10 o clock yesterday morning. my mates female was on form chasing rabbits about but stella seemed a bit slugish . so were walkin thru the wood boltin rabbits and stella was just sat far away watchin , i got her on my fist after about 10 mins so walked with her a bit then she flys off my fist and lands in a tree . i tried to get her down again but she was having n

ive been maning my female harris up over the last 2 weeks and she is on top form now , she will be having her first outing this weekend , she is 5 years old now and really does know the crack . she had a hard season last year , lost 2 tallons and snapped a tail feather wich have all grown back real good, i just love taking her out she is a proper little assasin !!few pics so you can see her. will update her progress all season

well me and a couple of lads had a look out last nite , seems we picked a good nite . parked up and set off good runs all round . a good couple of hours out and 14 in the bag , walked back to the car to find plod waiting . not been out running rabbits have you he asks, no mate just walking the dogs was the reply . he knew the crack and just took our names and told us to f**k off his patch . so we did went about 8 mile up the road and started again and bagged 2 nice bambi . missed 2 reds . all in all a blinding night !!! me bitch done well

good luck with it all john , you will love it mate . i fly a 5 year old female and she is a real beast when out hunting , i fly her with another female my mate has and they great together. i been manning mine up over the last 2 weeks as she just finished her molt . and she is about ready nowso next week will be her first outing i cant wait . ill let you know how i get on . cheeers mick
