  2. Sunday 21st August Ross Harriers Terrier, Lurcher and family dog show with hound racing. Terrier and lurcher show with racing, show starts at 3pm sharp. Family dog show starts 3.30pm.   3. Just want to say a big thankyou to Cath, Mike, and Kelly for a great day out. Also thankyou to Cath over the Roo episode. Myself and my friend Lou had a super day yesterday with a reserve for Daisy whippet in the 32 dog coursing, not bad for an 18lb 19" pedi whippet at 6 years old. Lou was totally made up. And i enjoyed a win with my bitch pup and champion pup and all 3 of my boys got placed as well. Then Mab topped it off with a win in the puppy racing with a lovely clean run what a star.   5. The south Cotswold whippet racing club is holding a hill challenge at Wickwar, south Gloucestershire on sunday the 12th June. Entry Fee £6.00 per dog (including card) All dogs will get two runs. Choice of 200yds or 400yds on a straight uphill track. No dogs under 12 months of age. First dogs in slips at 10am.   6. An enjoyable day, with a good turnout of quality dogs. Hope they decide to do it again next year as with a little bit of tweaking here and there it will be a super little show. Great uphill race track as well. Thanks for a great day and congratulations to all the winners.
  7. I didn't go to any lurcherworld shows last year as i was unimpressed the year before. Thought i would give it another go to see if they had improved and as monmouth is local to me thought it would be a good one to go to. Didn't course or race as i don't have a dog to course at present and didn't really want to race as my dog is just back from injury but did show two of my dogs. I was dissapointed to find that rough and smooth dogs, bitches were in together. Why? I don't have a problem with this but feel that it is unfair to mix the classes with some nice dogs missing out due to not having t
