thanks for the advice went the other day mate had a pretty big one but we didnt realise as his bite alarm didnt work and we were in the tent only realised when his rod was half in the water would have been gone if it wernt for the rod rest. goin to give it another shot tomorra hope we have abit more look. atb bob

what the best deadbait will it be mackeral I have found on rivers lamprey to be the best bait and dont rule out fresh sprats if you can get them from the fishmongers.Their pretty cheap.atb dell Never had much luck using lampery, The fishing shop i go to sells them frozen in packs pretty cheap. what do you use normally mate atb bob
