sweep found his first fallow tonite

This ref was the first to ping McCaw and Collins for doing what they have have been masters at, ie lying on the wrong side after the tackle and slowing down the opposition ball, I know flankers have to play on the edge but tonight they came up against someone who was'nt afraid to ping them, plus NZ seemed to have no plan B. At least the Aussies and the Kiwis can save some money now, by catching the same plane home you must have watched a different game, mccaw got pinged once the whole game, having mcalister sent off for having a frenchman run into his back and the forward pass not picked

oh well looks like we have to wait a bit longer to take the crown, luck of the ref i guess, sometimes ya get away with a few bad calls sometimes ya don't...the french done well

over here the hare is only controlled by the rifle, they are in plague numbers in the highcountry, they used to have hare drives with huge numbers killed. i like the repect the hare is given by you guys with dogs, i can imagine how a hare can out turn a dog, had a few pigdogs that thought they would like to play lurcher. 223 hare......i use hares to train my gwp's,they enjoy tracking them.

nah not crabby about the end of the season, we have a few weekend culls on shelducks, swan and geese before the bird season starts again in may...time to chase a few pigs and shoot a few more deer before the fishing heats up in november, plenty to do. i do get a bit  when trying to talk about one breed and the facts get confused, the same thing happens when discussing the merits of a certain breed and some clown chimes in with he had a x of the breed and it was this and that or another pet hate when ya talk pigdogs and they can't see pass a pitbull or bull cross .............all fun

if you look at the title again harry, it's a wirehair thread why people think the gsp and gwp are the same breed has me stumped. are cockers and springers the same breed
-
they have many advantages over a springer or lab, although in saying that the term horses for courses would apply here...you want a dog to hunt like a pointer and retrieve like a lab, indicate & track deer both wounded and alive, kill the odd cat/fox and quard your house the gwp is the breed. they are the allrounder, they don't flush or attack cover like a springer, but they will point and have no fear making retrieves in the nasty shit, they may not have the labs coat and otter tail but they share the same love of water and unlike it's shorthaired cousin they are have the mellow temp and d

had a good look through that kennel gary......is a bit of german blood there but no more than my own dogs here in nz, alot of show ch blood and also a fair bit of kimmax blood. your right about the imported lines, danish, norwegian and german, but it's not pure drathaar blood.
-
i actually spoke with sharon tonite about her dogs gary, they have a long history with the breed both in the show ring and in feild trails, the dog ch freddy vom kapellenhof at bareve is an imported german dd, and an awesome looking dog....they have a website just google bareve. kimmax has also imported pure dd blood and they also have a website. shame the docking laws have gone stupid over there, it was thrown out over here. never heard of the mustwork kennel but will look it up. sharon also told me your kennel club don't allow pups born by frozen semen to be registered, how far behind th

sounds funny giving you details on kennels on the other side of the world but here goes mate. bareve...barbara or sharon pinkerton 01536770714 in leicestershire. kimmax...maxine or peter 01744633724 i have given you these two kennels beause they have imported recently some deutsch drahtaar lines, pure working lines and if was lucky enough to buy something of this quality in new zealand i would be a very happy man....let me know how ya get on or have any questions about the breed.

i was a young kid when thatchers govt and the eu f****d over this country with our meat and dairy exports, after growing our country as a big food larder to supply the uk with food and wool it's strange how nz and aussie kept the old country in food during the wars only to be given the finger when they imposed huge tariffs as part of joining the eu. i remmber the sight of having millions of sheep getting there throats cut and dumped because it was unecomical to even get get them shorn.

from a different angle then, think about cheese, we quite happily eat our share of the stuff and it can be up to three years+ old for vintage tasty...........you keep goats ditchy why not make some 100% organic butter from some of the milk they produce.
-
All due respect to Kiwi, who seems like a good bloke ..... but he does appear to rely on the public perception of butter for his living. There's also the niggling variable that he has an inherrant bias towards the Anchor product. ('Mind you; When I was a nipper, Anchor was the only butter ye'd ever see in our house! So I've equelly got nothing against that product) Quite frankly, I just bought the KerryGold because it's 100% Irish and cost a few cents more than less well known brand names from smaller creameries. Thus I wanted to maintane 'transparency' without casting that shadow of a d

can anybody give me some info on these shells, also approx price and performance on game.
-
as a breeder i have a standard that i expect the pups to do as an adult, all my breeding is done with the goal of these dogs to handle birds, small game and large game, the only way i can do that is by limiting the type of people that i sell pups too, all my pups go to people that do alot of hunting so they get the best training there is,out in the feild
