fresh earth replied to fresh earth's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I origionaly had the bitchs up for 300 to a working home there were only 2 available and within a few day of advertising them you had come for yours and the other was also booked. the dogs were all sold barr 3 before i had to advertise them to people i either knew or who were close friends of freinds i only put the above on as i have the two dogs available and as i said to a working home that another could vouch for the dogs would be 200. the litter i had from her a couple of years ago went for more than double to people of public sites and out of 8 only two people kept in touch even two on he -

Each to there own mate in reality there not any different to any other 6 week old whippet pup it will be a year till i start doing things with them and then weal see what like they are . Ill not have problems bashing bunnys with them her last litter are more than able so with the proper bringing on everything else is there . Crush is doing fine vld hows your pup ?

This is only my second litter of whippets so what you mean by this year is beyond me ? This is the only whippet i have ever bred from and i bred her at 3 years and now at 5 bitch has done all any whippet iv seen can so in my eyes is worth breeding. The only other litter you may be confused with was a litter i reared for a good mate as he was lacking in room and apart from the bitch i kept one went to a lad of here for a coupld bags of food and the other to a mate . My whippets are all kennel club registered and i have a kennel name so its not a difficult feet to see exactly what i have bred wh

No worries ferret boy she's a funny wee thing and doesnt like being made stand still that was the picture of the advert i bought her from she was nothing like that when i went through she was a typical hyper young whippet and has always been spot on here . Cheers folks the pups have turned out fine im quite happy with them there forward outgoing pups and each have there own personality just like a pup of this age should do its not difficult to tell the difference between a pup thats had socialisation and one that hasnt iv seen so many litters that freeze and curl up when you go to have a look

price is negotiable to a working home that will keep me up to date with how there coming on i sold pups 2 years ago and was let down by people and only 3 have kept in touch iv been a bit more piky with who iv let buy them this time as i want to know how they turn out . Cheers blue staffy where you from ? Changed my avatar thats the same bitch now a year later.

Each to there own someones idea of a nice looker is not the same as the next mans. i would have been surprised if she done much growing after 14 months old mainly shaping up and filling out although i wouldnt personaly want her filling out anymore if she was mine just more toning up . Nice bitch anyway bud youd be surprised at the variation i have seen in some litters of lurchers a mate has a 24" dog and the three bitchs out the same litter are only 19" .

Iv kept whippets for almost 15 years now and i never start a pup before its 10 months old and at ten months all it does is watch. I have started and caught rabbits with much younger whippets but running a dog thats still growing just creates injurys and problems down the line a 5 month old pup should be learning basic comands heal wait over out leave etc plenty stock breaking at this time of the year if your lucky enoug to have the trust of a local farmer. I certainly would hang on till september at the very soonest before you go at it . kris

Im regulary out with lads who work there bullx's 5 days out of 7 year round i had a dog of them and sent him back as bottom line was i couldnt give him the consistant work he needed and couldnt take him out with these lads as he wouldnt tollerate other male dogs of any shape or form. Anyways to the point the man has tried two bull whippets from the same bull as his bull greys are out of and with daily work and the sheer gameness and drive you get from a properly bred bull whippet is far to much for the body around the dog by the second proper season as a single handed dog yes the dog is still

Wee update on my litter of whippets eyes are open now.
fresh earth replied to fresh earth's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Cheers lads the brindle was my initial choice but the way they are turning out the wee fawn bitch is a better shape and already comes forward and wants to play to the extent they can at this age but ill see how they turn out. I they are nice chunky pups its her second and last litter she's almost 6 now been a spot on dam just like she is in the field ill still get a good few seasons out her yet .
