  1. The Saluki handle bar ears will always be prone to infection. Get your vet to give you a prescription for canuaral. If it keeps reacuring then you need to syringe the ears, with warm water (flushing) any good vet will teach you how to do this. I have a bitch that gets ear infections a lot due to her twin bro licking her ears all the time, the first signs are that she starts knawing on her paws. ATB Doug Thanks mate..................chris

Hi all happy new year to you. my dog a saluki X keeps getting a ear infection i got some drops from the vets for him but it keeps coming back...i have been aware that his ears are always inside out after hes been running. i think this is the saluki in him. do you think this is the reason he keeps getting them?. the drops the vet gave me are johnsons ear drops solution. do you know of anything better i can get over the counter? thanks chris

  4. Yes all the way home...haha the little bugger.....its a pitty he wouldnt come back, he picked one up Sunday morning in some rough ground and killed it straight off...no messin, hes coming round great.

Hi all My names chris and ive just joined the group. i have a 14month old saluki whippet greyhound, and hes just started being a rate pain.....he takes no notice of me at all, but used to. when he picks a rabbit up hell run round the field with it for an hour rather than retrieve...and the last couple of days he dissapears for an hour at a time when i slip him..........any ideas.....chris
