    for years i hunted with a small pack ov beales from little village in South Wales, Bedlinog never did we come across a beagle that hunts mute.We packed it in some five years ago due to boys with diffrant comitmants, recently about a year ago i got my self coupl ov beagles brother and sister their about five year old now both are hunting outstanding but the bitch wont open any one now why.

    wat im asking is should he sound on scent or sight ye most beagles will open on scent, ive got a bitch she dnt open less she s right behind somthing, but the dog ive got will open way before her, which id much prefer

    Years ago i used to go on this farm on the preseli mountains WestWales with our small pack ov beagles, the farm we used to go on was such ruged terain the old farmer used to farm it on horse back , he s pased away now but 1 of his collies was a gud fox dog, my mate bread him to a greyhound some 20 years ago and we still got the line going

    Sire 1/4 collie 1/4 bull bitch is 1st cross but ud never think it to look at her I fancy by aving that litle bit ov collie dun jus ad bit of brain also ads bit more of a coat, not that bulls eint entelagant cos i think they are.

    Wat i do mate is cut off the conection which goes in to the cig lighter and conect it directly to the lamp.I dont have no problams with that, used to have the same prob, nothing worse than runnig a dog or colling the old charlie in and the lamp fcuk up.

    oliverj19 date= Sept 20Sounds like youve got a gud dog on your hands, nice to se youve held him back 18months nice age to start them on the lamp, some owners start their dogs much to young.

    Hi all, Ive been hunting for a number of years and finally found a site I can share my interests on. I mainly keep Lurchers and Terriers but have recently starting hunting with a few beagle hounds. At the moment ive 3 beagles, a sister and brother and a 10 week old pup. I also have 2 lurchers, collie bull greyhound and a bull greyhound bitch out of punch lines.
