just a quick one if my digital calliper says 2.270 i take it that 2.260 is 10 thou off or am i way wrong you also said start at 2.70 my distance is 2.734 and thats to my lans so to the point of the round would be further would it not be that if i set my bullets at 2.70 then i am already missing the 34 sorry for all the questions just want to get it bang on

hi all ok got myself some digital callipers and one of those gadgets that measure from the point of the bullet head that sits on the lands. bullet comparator set made a round that measures the size of the chamber to the lans and it was 2.734" or 2.343 to the point wich meats the lans ok so am i right in saying that i take it 5 thou back and keep working my way back till i get the bast group in rounds of 5 every 5 thou. second i am using v n160 starting at 42gns and working up in 5s ie 42.5 43.00 43.5 and so on am i right or completly wrong any help highly apprecieated.

ok so you have all saw remmys post about my first roe buck, so i made myself a plaque and mounted it myself pollished the round i used and mounted it to so what do you think.

hi dave, thanks again for this morning, now i really know what the buck fever is all about and i love it. Keep your drugs and drink ill stick with this one. Man i am still buzzing again many thanks daves a top bloke and very good teacher am learnnig loads every outing and, didnt want to let him down by a poor shot today so well chuffed. That my shot landed bang on where i wanted it to, First deer 120 yds bang on shot chuffed to bits one i will never forget. Will post pics when i get home again thanks dave for all your time effort and sharing all just a wee bity of your experiance.

hi al how do you find out what the depth of your bullet should be so as it fits your gun is there a way to mesure the bullet to see how far it goes up the chamberso as the round does not hit the rifling
