  2. hi mate yea coldred near whitfield,hes a great bird really chuffed to bits he done really well considering its his 1st season.have you got contact details for me?that would be super.do you know how much his spars go for?or when hes breeding roughly?do you fly a bird?well have to get out and do a bit.cheers mate jan.

  5. ok ill stop with the rabbits.hes still allrite markin for my harris isnt he.hes keen as anything ive got a fox keeps coming in the field but the bloody thing goes out of sight before i find where hes hiding.but yeah my older dog does go to ground not sure if its because anythings home or just because he wants too.but he aint scared.like i said hes had one above ground,my pup is 1 in feb i think.cheers anyway guys i knew there would be negative comments but all in all i dont know what im doing but i know a couple of lads that dig ill give them a buzz,cheers for all your comments with any louck
  6. alrite guys,just wondering if my dog will be any good on foxes,hes coming up a year now.ive got a farm where theres a few foxes to be dug,and ive got a terrier finder and a spade lol.but what do i do just introduce him to a hole he goes in rabbit holes and bought me up a rabbit last week,i also have a black and white terrier that has killed a fox above ground.should i stick them in together so my pup dont get bullied,will he take hold of the fox instinctively.or should i find someone who already has working dogs to show him the ropes cheers any advice is better than none.

  9. heres my 2,dont tend to work them but my black and white terrier loves holes and has had a fox before.

  13. hi mark it really isnt that hard to be honest,but really study hard if you can find a mentor then its even better unfortunately i dont have one but am on the phone to the breeder everyday,but im doing fine and this is my first hawk and its the best thing ive ever done,the more you put into your bird the more you get out im not saying its easy but you do have to be commited and dedicated.but seriously study hard.cheers jan

  15. hi everyone after the first discussion ive done alot more training,anyway the weathers crap here today but as it goes i looked out the window onto our field and saw a cock pheasant mooching around,not bein too heavy weighing 1.7 and a 1/4 i thought why not,got the bird ready and it done a runner with my bird in chase,and hey he nailed it got some pictures too....

    Where abouts are you located hi mate cheers for that he was a bit harsh,im from dover in kent,i feel im training the bird well hes fed well on varied diet works well with the dogs and ferrets and i feel ive made a great achievement as its my first hawk,and hes being a bit funny,i couldnt get a mentor but the breeder is always on the phone and i got you guys now lol. everyone has to start somewhere and i feel im doing ok and the birds health always comes first and id never jepadise him in any way,just want the help ive asked for so i can get his full potential. i mean hes taken a rabbit a

    hi mate cheers for your help ill take it all into consideration,ill keep on with the fitness for a week and keep him at 1.6 1/2 and try that out cheers again youve been more than helpful,as i said before im not strugglin with the bird were doing fine just as its my first bird i want as much help as pos,not having a mentor has anything to do with it,cheers

    hi dont mean to be rude but everybody starts somewhere and to bring the bird on as quickly as he has i think im doing really well,im just asking for a little bit of help or guidance on my birds hunting weight im not incompitant or useless at this the birds healthy and were both doing fine if you havnt got any suggestions or helpful ideas id rather you didnt post anything simply saying beacause i have no mentor im not good enough isnt fair,cheers jan
