  1. his growth plate would be funny looking having him jump at 6 months old nothing is properly formed is this lad stupid so what ur saying is'' a lurcher pup at 6 mth old should not be jumping a pice ov 1 foot high anti' rabbit mesh... and a 2 foot pice with a spar on top ov it... yea of cource it shouldnt keep letting him do that and it will take its toll on the dogs bones a year is time enough. i had a dog that damaged its spine from jumping up and down from his foot high bed.so it doesnt matter how high it is he might jump it fine 20 times a day but he only has to land wrong

  10. Myself personnaly would start bringing my pyps out at 6 months only to watch and to learn gates and fences. And around 8 months start giving easy rabbits or ones brought back by my old bitch just to build confidence. The dog will then let you know when its ready to do it on its own if yous hunt as one. Remember also dogs are never done learning.
  11. just to say everyone got very complicated on this topic. its very simple if you make your dog do something for its food as in sit or lie down eventually making it wait till you tell it to eat then authority will come to you and your dog will soon learn that your the boss (alpha male as its called) and no agression is needed. in saying that i do not knock givin a dog a good slap. (lurchers with a lot of colly blood be carefull can be verry snappy)
