  2. +1 air gun ant. However over the years i have had all shape and size muts work with the airgun, from terriers lurchers and whippets to conventional gundog breeds. At pressent i have a young cocker botch and an older whippet bitch who is just as comfotable at retriving shot game, however the whippet will alway have yhat urge to chase lol. Its all down to patiants and perserverance with your choosen breed. Good luck in what ever you choose, and just enjoy your dog for what it is, a dog and loyal companion cheers hh

  3. Hi guys, just a quick question. I am living up in the south wales valleys, and was woundering with all our coast line if there was any where, you can go for some free wildfowling along the welsh coast. I am not in the financial situation at the moment to join up to various clubs etc, and as for the basc permit scheme im with a different organisation at pressent. Any help will be greatly recived as i would love the oppertunity to try wildfolwing, cheers hh

  4. Hi there dave c. Yes its a great feeling when you have put the effort and time into a pup and start to slowly see it all fall into place as they mature. Out this morning with her and she was a little unsure of the cover, but then she picked up some sent and picked up a bit. Once she was in the cover and steadely quartering she just seemed to settle to the task and worked well again today. She still hasnt been exposed to game as such yet so shes hunting, but she still dont know what for lol, cheers

  5. Hi mate, i have been having the same thing with my cocker pup, just in a few yards then straight back out. The only time she will commit to any type of cover is if i have threw a dummy in for her. Yesterday however it all just fell into place, she was doing her usual head in then back out, only this time on the way out a black bird exploded next to her. She just stopped looked at me then at the bird, then me again awaiting a command. Get on find it, and she was gone, i can honestly say she hunted perfectly, she coverd the ground beutifully, i did not see her utill recal all away around our walk. To say i was slightly relived was an understatmet lol, cheers all hh

  6. Hi guys im after some advise please. Iv recently just striped my old investarm 20g back to bare wood. It was in a terrible state, anyway after all the prep she was finally ready for the oil. I used a danish oil on the gun, left to dry, knocked back between coats etc, all as stated in other post. Now my question is now that its totally dried do i just leave it as is or do i need to wax it for a final finish ? Any help and advice greatly recived cheers hh
