  1. well boss where are you from??

  2. Depends on the quantities mate but if you keep your flavourings to bay leaf, cinnamon and clove, you cant go wrong in my opinion. just add as little or as much red wine vinegar/sugar as ya want with onion and garlic and stew down. If ya want a specific recipe just let me know i'll dig one out for ya. Just let me know the quantities ya want to make ATB Lee
  3. Cheers mate! the hit is cleaned up i was just worried about the residue in the top soil when the chickens are scratching about. should be ok though yeah?
  4. Hi guys, i recently built a new dog run and i am thinking about using the old one for some chickens its plenty big and has some nice cover at one end under a ash tree. The only thing that concerns me is the dog mess that might be left in the top soil. should i just move the run to some virgin soil or would it be ok after a while? Any thoughts or comments would be great! Cheers Lee

  6. Try a bench mounted electric grinder. If you have access to one that is. A steel will only keep a edge on a knife not bring one back and can some times dull the edge even more. Good luck with it as it looks like a lovely little knife!
  7. You can use the same recipe as above with the bags of frozen berry mixes you can get in lidl or aldi makes a great drink!
  8. Depending on size but either fillet them or leave whole, dust with flour and pan fry in a little oil and butter. Eat with plenty of brown bread and butter with a good twist of a black pepper delicious!!! Or stuff the cavity with herb's ( rosemary and bay are quite nice with trout, or if you can find some wood sorrel thats nice too) and a wedge of lemon wrap well in tin foil and bake in a oven or on the coals of a bbq. Enjoy!!
  9. Yes they can mate! Same idea as corn fed chicken or salt marsh lamb. Did you ever notice the taste difference in pigeons even though they might have come from the same bag? Depending on what the animal eats will greatly affect its taste.
  10. We're planning to - but no sign of the elderflowers yet My partner got his hopes up then realised that it was the hawthorn then the rowan blossom Any good recipes? I made this recipe last year and it was crackin good!! 4 flower heads in full bloom 650g of caster sugar 1 gallon of water 1 lemon 4 tablespoons of distilled vinegar Dissolve the sugar in a little of the water. Put flower heads into suitable container Add vinegar Cut the lemon rind off try to avoid the white pith (easiest way is to use a veg peeler) and add to container Juice lemon and add Add the water and
