  2. just had a look at the web site, sadly i dont speak german as yet but i understood enough to work out that it was telling you the hunting seasons for each region, thankyou its very useful
  3. how old is she mate? is she interested in dead foxs, you need to get her used to her quarry, but wait until you have sum1 experienced with you when you enter her,as people have said before go and speak 2 your local gamekeeper and offer to help, this time of year they will be willing to have help with running the shoot. then hopefuly he will take you out. good luck with it bud
  4. i agree with you there asbo,sum1 just needs to show the lad at least then he will know if he likes it,

  6. Im told you need to have the correct licences (sp) in both countries. TO get the lisensces you need to sit tests. The women are better in Germany, along with the beer. thanks for your reply, i guessed there would be a test as i know that in belgium you have to,if you think the women are nice in germany, you should go to swiss, you will be impressed.lol.
  7. thats why i told him to go with a keeper then at least he will be shown the right way, maybe the way i wrote it,wasnt worded right. i wanted to wright to the lad bcos alot of people seem to take the piss out of him every time he wrights.
  8. im looking to relocate to switzerland but as far as i know you cant work your terriers for fox or badger there but its not far to travell to germany or france to work my terriers,i dont want to give them up or stop them working, so any info would be very gratefully recieved. thanks
  9. does your terrier try to enter earths and wholes when your rabbiting,if so then get your self a collar and a spade and ask your local gamekeeper 2 come along and supervise you,and just see how the dog does in a proper eath, he will either stick with his quarry or come out,and if you find you are finding it hard to reach the dog ,atleast then the keeper will show you how. theres only 1 way to learn bud and thats just to have a go at it, i did by myself and i havent looked back.
  10. do you not expect your bitches to work like your dogs?? a working terrier is a working terrier i expect bitches to do the same job as dogs. i agree with you there,i only keep bitches and they do just aswell as other dogs we work with, except being alittle on the hard side

  16. i never had any of trouble with my 3/4grey 1/4 collie on Charlie just enter them the right way mate are picture of mine on the job, charlie was shoot then he retrieved atb keano nice looking dog mate, how tall is he/she?.
  17. Yes mate, pre ban this x would tackle all quarry. For your 1st lurcher you wont go wrong, and a male might be better than a bitch . Dogs are stronger, and if it as the heart can be a bit more keener .? Regards kennel and other dogs, it should be ok. But my self i would not, dogs like there own space. And dog of 60- 70lbs which this x can grow to, is a strong dog. Kennel it on its own if you can. thanks for replying, the problem i have is that i only have 1 kennel but it has enough room for 5 or six dogs but it only occupies a patterdale bitch and springer bitch at the moment
  18. yeah for now until this pointless ban is lifted
  19. im guessing by that then there a bad idea
  20. i might be settling on a 3/4 grey 1/4 collie for my furst lurcher, they should cope with charlie??? and do they kennel well whith terriers and spaniells??
  21. has [NO TEXT TALK] had any problems withbull x ross lurchers being kennelled whith terriers,im thinking of getting a bull/whippet/greyhound but im worried abt kennel fights
  22. strong looking dog mate, something like that would be nice
  23. i like the sound of the bedligton x as there fairly game sought, would a dash of whippet keep the size down as i only whant something around 23inches
  24. helo . im new to the world of lurchers and im keen on getting my first pup this year but im unsure on what cross i should go for, I am looking for a all rounder that isnt too big and can work and live around my terriers. rabbits will be the main quarry but when the ban is lifted i would require it to work fox. i would be very graitful of some advice on the subject.
